REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS SET ASIDE BY UNANIMOUS CONSENT:
TRUCK BY-PASS:
Mr. Wm. Wiseman of the Tabor Safety Council objecting to truck route designated
in Ordinance No. 784, stating same is hazzardous account of Railroad crossing;
especially for trucks hauling explosives. The Inland, Shell and Grange Companys
especially object. Protests will be -presented in writing also suggestions on
changes to be made for Council study.

Mr. Bower states he has received notice from the Chief of Police to move trailer
out of R-2 zone by October 1, 1954• He vgas advised that it was impossible to
allow sDme trailers to remain in place and others move.
REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS RESUMED BY UNANIMOUS CONSENT:
COMMUNICATIONS:
FABRICATED STEEL PIPE FITTINGS:
A letter was read from H. A. Cornell, Consulting Engineer requesting that the
Council call for bids on Febricated Steel Pipe fittings. -Motion made by Avery,
seconded by Craig to call for bids on Tuesday, 8:00 P. M., May 18, 1954. Motion
carried.
SEWER PLANT FENCE:
A letter was read from John -W. Cunningham's Office recommending that -the Colorado
Fuel & Iron Corp be paid 03,838.23 in accordance with their proposal. Motion
made by Bonnett, seconded by Connell authorizing payment as requested. Motion
carried by roll call vote of six (6). Avery out of the room.
SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT ACCEPTANCE:
A letter was read from F. S. Zeidlhack recommending that the work on Sewage
Plant be accepted. About May lst the final estimate will be issued; thirty (30)
days after approval of this by the City the contractor is entitled to his retained
percentage on signing a release; we will be glad to furnish release forms, upon
recommendation of the City Engineer. Motion made by Connell, seconded by Combs to j
accept the Sewage Treatment Plant and start thirty (30) day notice. Motion carried
unanimous.
RESERVOIR SITE, DEED & EASEMENT:
A letter was read -from the United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of
Reclamation, Columbia Basin Project, Ephrata, Washington, enclosing receipt for
$175.00 inconsideration for Reservoir site and perpetual easement for access
road thereto, with deed and easement, dated February 12, 1954, covering property
involved. Motion made by Avery, seconded by Craig to accept deed and easement.
Motion carried.
PAINT PURCHASE:
A letter was read from Airport -Manager 0. V. Cotton, requesting call for bids,on
Paint in 100 gallon quantities. Motion made by Bonnett, -seconded by Craig auth-
orizing call for bids, Tuesday, 8:00 P. M.,'June 1, 1954. Motion carried.
REFUND: GEO. R. BLACK:
Geo. R. Black requests refund of $3.00 on Building Permit. Motion made by Combs,
seconded by Avery authorizing refund. Motion carried by roll call vote of seven
(7).

YACHT BASIN LEASE:
A letter was read from the dark Board stating the City does not have lease on
land due west of the loading ramp, to the middle of the existing dyke. Motion
made by Craig, seconded by Bonnett that a request be made for a lease as re-
quested by .the board. Motion carried.
PORT DISTRICT PETITION: VACATE RIVER STREET:
A petition presented by the Port District requesting that River Street from the
east side of that streets intersection with South 9th Street, southeasterly to
the easterly terminus of said street be vacated of all public use.

Resolution No. 344 on vacating River Street of all public use was read and setting
Tuesday, 8:00 P. M., June 1, 1954 for hearing date. Motion made by Avery, seconded
by Eonnell to adopt Resolution No. 344. Motion carried by roll call vote of sev-

RIATING OF EMERGENCY WARRANT THE SUM OF $6,000.00
FROM THE CURRENT EXPENSE FUND OF THE CITY OF PASCO
FOR COMPROMISE IN SETTLEMENT OF PENDING LITIGATION
ENTITLED "RICHARD G. SCHULTZ vs THE CITY 0'F PASCO."

OR PLAN OF ADDITIONS TO AND BETTERMENTS AND
EXTENSIONS OF THE SEWERAGE SYSTEM OF THE CITY
WHICH HAS BECOME A PART OF THE WATERWORKS UTILITY
OF THE CITY AND OF ADDITIONS TO AND BETTER-
MENTS AND EXTENSIONS OF THE WATERWORKS SYSTEM
OF,THE CITY; DECLARING THE ESTIMATED COST THEREOF,
AS NEAR AS MAY BE; AND PROVIDING THAT THE COST
THEREOF BE PAID FROM MONEYS PRESENTLY ON HAND IN
THE SEIAGE TREATMENT PLANT CONSTRUCTION FUND AND
WATER CONSTRUCTION FUND OF THE CITY.

OCCUPIED BY THE "RIVERSIDE HOMES'" DEVELOPMENT
OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY -OF PASCO.

500 cu. ft. and .05 per 100 cu. ft. over; Sewage Treatment Plant $1.00 per month
per -occupied unit. This is amendment No. 27 Con. HA (Wash 45152) MPH 102.
