RENT STABILIZATION:
A letter was read from Glenwood J. 'Sherrard stating the rent control office in
Pasco will close July 17, 1953•
VACATING ALLEY, BLOCK 3, PETIT'S SECOND ADDITION:

Mr. Basil Maib presented an application as per ordinance no. 640 also sketch and
letter setting up three methods of handling existing sewer line located in this
alley. Motion made by Avery, seconded by Connell to grant M$. !Aaib proposal No. 3,
"Cut off existing sewer and install new section 296 ft. long 12" concrete line,
alter one manhole, add_ one manhole.

owners in agreement. Motion carried.
AIRPORT BIDS ON TRACTOR:
A letter was read from 0. V. Cotton, Airport Manager stating the airport.Committee
has approved the purchase of a used tractor. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by
Combs that request be granted. Call for bids set for July 21, 1953 at 8:00 P. M.
Cotton to furnish specifications. Motion carried.
BIDS POWER BOLES:
The second letter eas read requesting permission ,to sell surplus poles approved by
Airport Committee. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Connell that request be
granted, minimum price be set at .10� per foot, to be advertised for bid -poles can
be seen at the airport. Motion carried.
REFUND - ELLEN FOX:
A letter was read from Mrs. Fox requesting a refund on Code Book returned. Motion
made by Bonnett, seconded by Connell authorizing refund. Motion carried..
REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS SET ASIDE BY UNANIMOUS CONSENT.
DON SEABERG, DUST CONDITION ON WEST LEWIS:
Mr: Seaberg was interested in knowing when the Highway Department will build Lewis
Street. Dust conditions in the 1600 block and that area; he asked if the Street
could be graded and graveled to Casaday's Bee Line Service with a light shot of oil
to control dust. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Avery to turn this to the
!I Street Committee. Motion carried. Mr. Seaberg was advised to contact Ole Olson
relative to information as to about when the State will start construction. Street
,Committee will contact Brickey to ascertain if gravel and oil is available.

HOWARD GRAHAM, TWIN CITY CONSTRUCTION CO:
City Attorney to write Mr. Graham that his Business License will not be issued for
the present location.
SIDEWALKS, STREET COMMITTEE:
Three questions asked by City Engineer on June 16th. Copy of letter to be mailed
to the Committee.
BILLING, WATER & SEWER:
Out side City limits. Motion made by Avery, seconded by Bonnett to leave water it
and sewer users charge as per existing ordinance. Motion carried.

NORTHERN PACIFIC PROPERTY BETWEEN LEWIS & "A" ON 12th:
City requires easement to build Highway. Motion made by Milne, seconded by Avery
that the mayor write the Northern Pacific Railway setting out the proposition of
vacating Ainsworth if the Railroad Company will take care of crossing and signals.
Motion carried.
EMERGENCY ORDINANCE:
A letter was read from the City Tbeasurer stating $150.00 would carry through
1953. Motion made by Milne, seconded by Avery that City Attorney prepare emergency

Letter was read regarding completion of contract on a Water Pumping Station and
requesting final payment. °Motion made by Avery, seconded by Combs that Mr. Wiggins
be paid 419,627.96, retaining $12,436.20, subject to approval or release from the

B..UILDING INSPTCTOR SALARY RAISE:
j' Motion made by Milne, seconded by Bonnett recommending a raise of $100.00 per mo.,
for the Building Inspector as of July 1, 1953, with the understanding that there
would be no,hard feelings when a full time position is created. Motion carried by

WATER DEPARTMENT: Gate valves, nails, meters, pipe adapters, valve boxes, tees,
and hydrants, approximate amount $1,111.21
