CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 8:34 P. M. Nonorable Mayor'John Beck presiding.
T. G. Overlie was appointed to act as Clerk. Adah M. Perry being excused account
feeling ill.
ROLL CALL:
By Acting Clerk. Members present were J. A. Avery, L. E. Bonnett, C. S. Milne
and T. G. Overlie. .;Absent C. R. Combs, S. A. Connell and Raymond Hicks, City
Attorney was present.
WATER INTAKE: (FISH SCREENS)
A letter was read from the Association of Washington Cities relative to the Pump-
ing Plant and introd1cing Mr. Brown from the State Department of Fisheries who
discussed fish screens and recommended travelling screens for our plant and espec-
ially advantageous where the water level changes. Plans of Pumping Plant were
also discussed. Motion made by Avery, seconded by Milne to request Corey to sub-
mit incorporating traveling screen chamber inside main building; these two pre-
liminary plans to be submitted to council for approval. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 723:
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING AN EMERGENCY IN THE CURRENT
�I EXPENSE FUND IN THE CITY OF PASCO AND APPROPRIATING
MONEY WITH WHICH TO MEET THE SAME, AND TO PROVIDE
ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR INSURANCE COVERAGE
Ordinance No. 723 was amended to read "insurance" only and omitting the "fire
hydrants" rental. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Overlie that Ordinance No.
723 be given the second reading as amended by title only. Motion carried.

Motion carried. Public Hearing to be held Tuesday, September 16, 1952•
ORDINANCE NO. 726:
AN ORDINANCE BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 572 AND DECLARING AND ESTABLISHING THE RATES FOR
FIRE HYDRANT RENTAL WITHIN THE CITY OF PASCO AND
REFINING THE DUTIES OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IN RELAT-
ION THERETO
Motion made by Overlie, seconded by Avery that Ordinance No. 726 be given the first
reading. Motion carried.. Ordinance No. 726 was read. Motion made by Bonnett,
seconded by Avery that Ordinance No. 726 has been given the first reading. Motion
carried.
