CALL TO ORDER:
Meeting called to order at 8:00 P. M. Honorable Mayor John Beck presidilg.
ROLL CALL:
i. By Clerk. Members present were J. A. Avery, L. E. Bonnett, C. R. Combs, S. A.
Connell, C. S. Milne and T. G. Overlie. Absent Raymond Hicks. City Attorney
Orville B. Olson was present.
REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS SET ASIDE BY UNANIMOUS CONSENT.

WATER INTAKE:
1. H. Gorey and Warren W. Clark spoke in regard to traveling fish screens. Some
members of the Council were reluctant to authorize a $20,000.00 expenditure with
out knowing the advantagess advantages,maintenance cost, etc. of.this type. A letter to
George R.'$isher, City Engineer from the Department of Fisheries was read; and
attached was a copy of laws relating to food fish and shellfish and stating they
would be pleased to assist in the planning of adequate careening of contemplated
screening project and would make the services of Mr. Brown, Eastern Washington
Screening Supervisor, available if desired. Samples of Algae and debris obtained
from a manually operated screen were displayed. Mr. Clark stated an alternate
could be added to bid. City Engineer reviewed history of proposed, intake as
discussed with Army Engineers and State Health Department at different times
during dike development. Mr. Clark stated they worked with City Engineer in
setting up pland which they thought would serve the purpose best. In conclusion
it was decided that the Mayor-vo uld obtain out side opinions; The Association of
i; Washington Cities was suggested.

Mrs. Morath requested a Business License for Pony Rides and Photos. One gentle
pony owned by Mr. & Mrs. Morath will supply the rides and their young daughter
will manage the pony. This to be near the Merry-go-round just north of Si �an's
Store on their roperty. Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Avery that a 30
day permit for 91.00 be issued. Motion carried.
SEWAGE DISPOSAL PLANT & SITE:
Mr.:Zeidlhack spoke relative to proceeding with Sewage Plant Plans for next
spring; period of construction would take about 10 months. Steel situation
discussed.
RESOLUTION NO. 321: TO TAKE ALL NECESSARY ACTION TO SECURE THE AERPORT FACILITIES:
Motion made by Bonnett, seconded by Avery that Resolution No. 321 be read.
Motion carried. Resolution No. 321 was read. Motion made by Avery, seconded by
Connell that Resolution No. 321 be adopted. Motion carried by roll call vote of
six (6)4
PROPERTY WEST WEHEtSTREET PURPOSES:
Mr. Cole and Mr. Stevenson are anxious to sell property for Street purposes.
Motion made by Connell that Fisher bring in estimate on property value at the
j next meeting. Motion carried.
MERRY-GO-ROUND:
I
Mr. Johnson requests that the Council reconsider the License fee of $50.00 per
month as previously set; he would be unable to operate at that figure. Motion
made by Combs, seconded by Avery that Johnson be allowed to operate until Dec-
ember 31, 1952 on License paid. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE NO. '722:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 435 BEING AN
ORDINANCE REZONING BLOCK 151, PASCO LAND COMPANY'S
FIRST ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PASCO FROM R-2 to M-1
Motion made by Avery, seconded by Connell that Ordinance No. 722 be given the
third reading. Motion carried. Ordinance No. 722 was read. Motion made by
Overlie, seconded by Avery that Ordinance No,. 722 has been given the third
reading. Motion carried. Motion made by Overlie, seconded by Avery,that
Ordinance No. 722 be adopted. Motion carried by roll call vote of six (6).

STREET ILIIN
Program did not include "A" Street account trying to get State to include this
with their secondary Highway -work. Now to include A Street to the City Street
Oiling program the following streets were omitted:
Court Street from Lucas to Chase
Irving it " Dakota " it
Sylvester-" ". Lucas " it
Yakima " " Dakota
Shoshone " " Dakota
This oil application to be applied to "A" Street between 10th and Elm. Motion
made by Bonnet6, seconded by Combs authorizing this change.' Motion carried by
roll call vote of six (6).
ADJOURNMENT:
Motion made by Avery, seconded by Milne that the meeting recess to Friday, 8:30
P. M., August 22, 1952. Motion ca-rr4ed.
