APRIL 3, 1951 Mayor Beck appointed councilman L. E. Bonnett to take minutes of this meeting due to the absence of the City Clerk who is ill. DEPUTY CLERK: PASCO, WASHINGTON COUNCIL CHAMBERS Motion made by Grigg, that the Bond for the Deputy Clerk be raised to $3,000.00. Motion seconded by Nelson and carried unanimous. PRISONERS MEALS: Discussion held on raising price of meals for Prisoners from .60¢ to .75�. In conclusion motion made by Nelson, seconded by Grigg that meals be raised from .60¢ to 75� per meal, retroactive as of March 1, 1951. Motion carried by roll call vote of six (6). DEPUTY CITY CLERK: Motion made by Nelson that E16anor nlinge, Deputy City Clerk be authorized to sign the City Warrants during the absence of the City Clerk. Motion seconded by Hos- tetter and carried unanimous. COMMUNICATIONS: FLOYD FLITTER: (Refund) Letter read from Floyd F. Futter asking for a $450.00 refund account dewer not connected. Letter turned to the City Attorney for opinion. PASCO ENGINEER DEPOT (KUTUAL AID PROGRAM): Letter read from Robert E. Carroll, Post Engineer from Pasco Engineer Depot on a mutual aid program between the Fire Departments of Pasco, Kennewick and the Eng- ineer Depot with no reimbursement for either department should they assist at any emergency fire. Motion made by Nelson, seconded by Overlie to accept 1Yir. Carroll's program. City Clerk's office to so notify. HENRY A MILLER: Letter read from Mr. Miller, referred to the Council by City Engineer Fisher, ask- ing about extensions for Water & Sewer services on Court a Sylvester Streets to Road 60. No action taken. P. T. A. from Wenatchee: Letter requesting information on Curfew Ordinance was read. Turned to Chief of Police. ! PUBLIC HEARING: (Blocks 7, 8, 9 & 10, Pasco Improvement Co's First Add) Public Hearing advertised for this time was held. No objections registered. Motion made by Nelson, .seconded by Overlie to instruct the City Attorney to ddraw up.the necessary ordinancd to comply with request. Motion carried. BIDS: HOUSING AUTHORITY: Annual report for the year 1950 was read. REMODEL SEXTON'S HOUSE: Two -bids were received, opened and read as follows: Evan C. Allstrom $1079.47 J. G. Ungerecht 1,280.00 Motion made by Overlie, seconded by Grigg to accept the bid of J. G. Ungerecht to remodel and furnish all labor and material for $1,280.00. Motion carried by roll call vote of six (6). READING OF ORDINANCES: ORDINANCE NO. 685: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 427, AND FURTHER BEING AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO SEWERS AND THE DRAINAGE OF PRIVATE PREM- ISES, AND PROVIDING THAT THE CITY WATER SUPERINTENDENT SHALL BE SEWER INSPECTOR, AND ALSO MAKING CERTAIN PROVISIONS WITH REFERENCE TO SEWER CONTRACTORS AND LICENSE FEES TO BE PAID BY SUCH CONTRACTORS, AND PERAMITS TO BE SECURED BY PERSONS DESIR- ING TO MAKE CONNECTIONS WITH THE CITY SEWER SYSTEM AND REGULAT- ING SEPTIC TANKS AND ESTABLSIHING STANDARDS OF CONSTRUCTION FOR SEWER CONNECTIONS AND DISPOSAL OF SEWAGE WASTE THROUGH SEPTIC TANKS.
