Honorable Mayor John Beck presiding. ROLL CALL: By Clerk. Councilmen present, L. E. Bonnett, A. T. Hostetter, W. A. Nelson and T. G. Overlie. Chas. Grigg arrived late. Raymond Hicks was absent. City Att- orney Orville Be Olson was absent. BIDS ON LOOP SYSTEM: The five bids received were considered. One bidder present expressed his opinion. Motion made by Hostetter, seconded by Bonnatt to reject all bids. Engineer and Water Manager to negotiate with cortracPor,.,€'or digging and backfill; -other work to be performed by the City. A fifteen minute recess was called at this time. Letter from Plumbers '& Steamfitters Union was read. MEETING RESUMED: No objections. Question on motion was placed bythe Mayor and carried by roll call vote of four (4..). Overlie not voting. RETURN CERTIFIED CHECK AND BONDS: Motion made by Nelson, seconded by Grigg that bidders checks and bonds be returned. Motion carried. WATER LINE EXTENSION: Motion made'byHostetter, seconded by Bonnett that a water line be extended on Margaret from Meridian to Chase upon payment of front footage of the,abutting lots on the South side of street which is Margaret extended. Motion carried by roll call vote of five (5). WILLIAM KIRCHNER'S CORNER:: Rounding corner at Northwest Aurelia and Nixon was discussed. Kirchner desires to have side walk and curb constructed by the city. Motion made by Grigg, second- ed by Bonnett to establish sidewalk and curb at this location in exchange for prop- erty needed for.this project. !Motioncarried by roll call vote of five (5). BROWN SAID & GRAVEL.: A letter was read from this firm quoting prices for digging and backfilling, on "Loop Systemt°. Motion made by Hostetter, seconded by Grigg that Brown Sand & Gravel's offer for digging and backfilling be accepted. Motion carried by roll call vote -of -five (5) . 1 1 LEGISLATIVE BULLETIN NO. 2: Was read by mayor Beck relative to changes in distribution of State Liquor Money also State Gas Tax; contacting representatives immediately was suggested by Mayor.
