CALL TO ORDER:

JANUARY 19, 1950
Meeting called to order at 8:05 P. M. Motion made by Nelson, seconded by
Hostetter that Chas. Grigg act as Pdlayor pro tem. Motion carried. Whereby
Honorable Mayor pro tem Chas. Grigg; presided.

MEETING CALLED TO DISCUS'S CHAIIGINC'- ZONINJG ORDINANCE:
HOTEL APARTMENT AND C0101VIERCIAL SPACES: Forth 4th between Yakima and t'lley, Block
1, Sylvester's Park Addition, Lots 17, 18, 19 and 20.
Mr. Peabody with Earl Churchman submitted plans for six story building, full
basement, to front on 4th and to be flush with Yakima Street; a conapy to pro-
trude over sidewalk on Ya."-ima; entire building; to be 140 feet on 4th Street with
over 100 rooms. I'dain floor commercial space for rental purposes and lobby',to
cost $500,000.00. Idotion made by Nelson, seconded by lionnett that the City Council
will concur with the Planning Commission for the construction of the Apartment
House Motel as presented in plans, approximate cost $500,000.00 and that constr-
uction must be started by I'�,ay 1, 1950. Property to be rezoned to C-1 from R-1.

!'Motion made by Bonnett that the City Attorney write a letter for the F. Ii. A. in
Spokane. Motion seconded by Overlie and carried.
