CALL TO ORDER:
Meeting called to order at 8:20 P. T4. Honorable Mayor John Beck presiding.
ROLL CALL:
By Clerk. " Councilmen present, L. E. Bonnett, C. S. Churchman, Chas. Grigg, Ray-
mond Hicks, A. T. Hostetter, W. A. Nelson and T. G. Overlie, also City Attorney
Orville B. Olson and City Engineer C. B. Shain.
1950 BUDGET (continued):
WATER DEPARTMENT:
Motion made by'Overlie to add $1,000.00 to the new loop extension, making a total
to loop of $68 610.00. Motion seconded by Churchman and carried by roll call
vote of seven (7).
STREET DEPARTMENT:
Motion made by Bonnett that $202.80 be added to Street Superintendent's proposed
budget of $54,167.20 to be allocated to Street Oiling and Seal Coat. Motion
seconded by Hostetter; thus reducing -the amount -from $77,167.20 to $54,543.00.
Motion lost by roll call vote 4 to 3. Bonnett, Hostetter and Nelson voting "Yes".
TRANSFER --STREET DEPARTMENT:
Motion made,by Overlie to transfer $9sl84.80 from the General Fund to the Street
Department. Motion seconded by Churchman.
AMENDMENT TO MOTION made by Hicks that total Street Budget be set at $64,167.20.
Motion seconded by Nelson. Amendment -carried by roll call vote of 4 to 3. Church-
man, Hostetter and Overlie voting "No". Voting on the original motion as amended
motion lost by roll call vote of seven ('7).
Motion made by Hicks, seconded by Nelson that total Street Budget be set at $64,167.20
Reduding receipts from taxes $3,815.20 and showing receipts from taxes $36,617.20.
Motion carried by roll call vote 4 to 3. Churchman, Hostetter and Overlie voting
"No".
LIBRARY:
Motion made by Churchman, seconded by Overlie that $1,000.00 be added to Library
tax receipts, making Library tax total $10,850.00. Motion carried by roll call
vote of seven (7).
ADJOURNMENT:
Motion made by Grigg; seconded by Overlie thf the
