RECESSED MEETING
PASCO, WASHINGTON
COUNCIL CHAMBER
NOVEMBER 8, 1948.
CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at 2:20 o'clock P.M., Honorable Mayor W. A.
Nelson presiding.
ROLL CALL: By Clerk; Councilmen present were Charles Grigg, A. T. Hostetter, T. G.
Overlie and C. R. Wallis. John Beck and H. G. Lake arrived late.
BILLING MACHINE BIDS:
Three Bids were received, opened and read and discussed;
The National Cash Register Co. propose Machine Model No. 30612119)18"
price $2,665.00 subjectto 3% Sales Tax. They also submitted an alternate bid
on accounting and Billing Machine.
Burroughs Utility Machine style 25-17-00 sells for $3,249.14.
Underwood Bid on a Sundstrand Model D price $3,215.00 plus sales Tax.
Will be shipped within 90 days after order received.
Representatives spoke in behalf of their machines. Motion made by Grigg,
tochnld up bids to next Regular Meeting as recommended by the Mayor. Water
Committee to make recommendation at that time; motion seconded by Wallis and
carried.
TRAFFIC LIGHTS BIDS:
One bid was received as follows from the General Electric Co.:
Cat.2TC22H16, Type DH -- 8 week delivery, price $258.00 each.
Cat. 2TF3D18, 4 -way traffic, 3 color signals for span wire mounting,
price $169.40 each, 6 week delivery.
Motion made by Grigg, seconded by 'Wallis that this be turned to the
Police Committee for recommendation next Regular Meeting; motion carried.

Brickey be authorized to do this work; motion carried unanimous.
PASCO HERALD:
Mr. Hagman introduced himself stating he was starting a local paper to
be known as the Pasco Herald.
