HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-09-1948 Minutes1487 PASCO-, WASHINGTON RECESSED MEETING COUNCIL CHAMBER SEPTEMBER 9, 1948. CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at 2:15 o'clock P.M, by Honorable Mayor W. A. Nelson. ROLL CALL: By Clerk, Councilmen present were Art Glasow, Jr., A. T. Hostetter, T. G. Overlie, and C. R. 'Wallis; absent were John Beck, Charles Grigg, H. G. Lake, and City Attorney D. W. Zent. 1949 TENTATIVE BUDGET: Mayor Nelson, revised his copy of the Tentative Budget and read each item and amount in all the departments. Changes were suggested and discussed, recommended changes threw the budget out of balance; members present and the Mayor wished to have another meeting with more members present to adopt the Tentative Budget by Resolution for publication. BOND RETIREMENT LEVY: A letter from the City Treasurer E. L. Collins was read. It was unanimously agreed that a levy of 2 mills for bond retirement as suggested by the City Treasurer should be ample. RECESS: Motion made by Glasow, seconded by Overlie that the meeting -recess to Saturday, 2:00 o1clock P.M., 'September 11, 1948; motion carried.
