RECESSED MEETING COUNCIL CHAMBER MARCH 30, 1948
CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at 2:45 P.M., Honorable Mayor V. A. Nelson
presiding.
ROLL CALL: By Clerk, Councilman present, Art Glasow, Jr., Charles Grigg, A. T.
Hostetter, T. G. Overlie and C. R. Wallis. John Beck and H. G. Lake were absent.
City Attorney 'D. W. Zent was also absent.
VACATING ALLEY GRAY'S AMENDED ADDITION AND GANTENBEIN'S ADDITION, O'KEEFE'S
SECOND ADDITION: Data for vacating was filed with the City Clerk, for
Public Hearing, etc. Location of water,sewer and pole lines were considered, this
was turned to a committee Grigg and Overlie, for investigation and report.
WADING POOL BIDS -CONSIDERED: One bid was received from the James Construc-
tion Company for constructing the Wading Pool, in the amount of $8,135.85 Including
Tax.
One Bid on the Electrical installation was received from the Empire
Electric Co. in the amount of $1,067.68 including tax.
Motion made by Hostetter seconded by Overlie to accept the Empire Electric's
Company's bid of $1,067.68 including tax. Motion carried by roll call vote of
,five (5). Motion made by Grigg, seconded by Glasow that James Constructinn Company's
bid5be rejected. Motion carried unanimous.
SWIMMING POOL EQUIPMENT: Motion made by Griggy seconded by Overlie that
City Clerk be authorized to call for bids on Swimming Pool equipment as specifications
submitted by W. L. Malony, bids callable Tuesday, 8:00 o'clock P.M., April 20, 1948.
Motion carried. Committee to follow along on accomplishing construction of
Wading Pool.
BINTZ CONTRACT: This contract was read in part by the Mayor. The Council
feels that the Arbitration Board should not be disregarded. Several questions came
up dealing on the City Attorney's opinion. A committee was appointed to contact
✓ D. W. Zent for clarification. Hostetter, Glasow and Wallis comprise the committee.
The Council request that Mayor Nelson be at the Arbitration Board meeting.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion made by Hostetter, seconded by Overlie that the meeting be adjourned
to next Regular Meeting Tuesday, 8:00 o'clock P. M., April 61 1948. Motion carried.
