Adopted by the council January 20th, 1948, on January 27th, 1948 Honorable Mayor W.A. Nelson filed a veto with the City Clerk reading as follows: To The City Council rI am hereby vetoing Ordinance Number 612, for the reason, that since it will be necessary to have engineering advice on all problems mentioned in this Ordinance and must also be approved by the State Department of Health and the State Polution Control Commission. I believe that the intent of this Ordinance has been good but, in view of the statements made at the previous Council Meeting, there will no doubt have to be some changes in our plans. Can see no reason why we should put an additional Ordinance on our books in view of the fact that in a short time we would un- doubtedly have to make further amendments. It would seem that the soundest course to follows would be to await the completed report of Sohn W. Cunningham and Associates and upon approval also of the state departments, that we then adopt a sound and legal plan for expansions. Yours truly W.A. Nelson, Mayor " Motion made by Lake seconded by Beck that the Mayors veto be accepted, motion carried.
