CALL TO ORDER:

By clerk, councilmen present were John Beck, Art Glasow, Jr., A.T. Hostetter,
T.G. Overlie, H.G. Lake and C.R. Wallis, Charles Grig. arrived at 1:15 o'clock,
D.W. Lent was absent.
COMMUNICATIONS:
i CARNIVALS: ( IN RE: THE GOOD OF THE COMMUNITY:)

A letter was read from B.B. Horr.igan expressing his opinion that carnivals should

be absolutely excluded from a Community until they eliminate the u mdcest-ml 1e
features.
GENERAL ELECTRIC: j
A letter of thanks was read from U.H. Lander for cooperation with patrolmen while canlvassing
fo•r housing facilities.
J.H. PITCHER—SEVER AND WATER:
A letter was read from J.H. Pitcher requesting permission to connect his
property lying north of the City Limits to the navy water and sewer lines.
This was turned to the Water and Sewer Committee for investigation and report.

SUB LEASES APPROVED AIR PORT:

A letter was read from Captain J.S. Tracy advising that ten (10) sub leases
granted at the Pasco Air Port have been approved.
WATER CONTRACT WAR DEPARTMENT:
A contract covering water service at the Pasco General Depot was read, motion
made by Beck seconded by Wallis that the Mayor be authorized to sign contract,
motion carried, Contract No. W35-026-eng 3057, notice of Termination of Contract
No. VV35-0262999 was read and approved. "r
REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS SET ASIDE:
LEON STANTON TENT AT 9TH & "B": �I
Mr. Stanton requests permission to erect a tent for church services on the corner
of 9th & "B", motion made by Grigg that if there are no objections from neighbors
within a 300 foot radius, Mr. Stanton be given permit for 90 days from erection
of tent for church, a deposit of $100.00 to be made to assure removal and
cleaning of premises, motion seconded by Glasow, carried.
P.U.D.:

Mr. Glenn C. Walkley and Dan Jolle-y of the P"U.D. Commission were present with
the Commissioners were Harry Hudlow, Mr. Leavy and Rolla V. Boughton and
H. deSchepper. Walkley stated that it would not be necessary to issue more
bonds unless the city expanded according to prediction, the P.U.D. Stockholders
will own the entire system in thirty (30) years, they expect to acquire Bonn-
eville Poc:er soon as possible, action for the construction of an estimated
$x30,000.00 substation one mile east of Pasco will be t ake:n immediately, t1t&ST and other
questions were discussed.
ADJOURNMENT:
Meeting adjourned at 4 o'clock P.hI., motion made by -Overlie seconded by Hostetter
that the meeting adjourn, to Tuesday October 21, 1947, eight o'clock P.M.
