CALL TO ORDER:
Meeting called to order at two -thirty o'clock P.M... Honorable Mayor 'Halter A.
Nelson presiding.
ROLL CALL:
By clerk, council men present were Arthur E. Glasow Jr., A.T. nostetter, H.G. Lake,
T.G. Overlie, John Beck arrived a few minutes late; Charles Grigg and C.R. Wallis
were absent, D.N. Zent City Attorney was present.
BIDS ON PAINTING 'WATER TANK: HELD UP FOR CONSIDERATION:
Call for bids on cleaning and painting, one bid was received on an electrical
device for the inside of tank to retard rust accumulation, all bids were
considered and discussed, motion made by Beck that all bids be rejected, motion
seconded by Lake, motion carried. City Attorney suggests that the council.
advertise for bids on(an electrical device for rust resisting, motion made by
Lake to readvertise for bids on painting out side of tank, callable May :-S, 1947,
motion seconded by Beck, carried by roll call vote of five (5), motion made by
Lake seconded by Glasow to advertise for bids(on rust resisting equipment for the
inside of water tank) bids callable May 6, 1947, motion carried by roll call vote
of five (5).
STREET SWEEPER: Two bids were received and considered, Street committee recommend
the purchase of the new sweeper, motion made by Lake seconded by Overlie to
accept the recommendation of the Street Committee and purchase the new sweeper
from The Nelson Equipment Co. in the amount of $1,951:85, motion carried by roll
call vote of five (5).
SWIMMING POOL:
Mr. Ma4ory has not submitted plans and specification on the swimming pool, Lake
recommends that he be advised by wire to have plans and specifications submitted
by next meeting, Aril 15th, 1947, Mr. Hostetter to write or wire.
ASSOCIATION OF VIIASHINGTON CITIES:
Bulletin on rates and reservations available at City Clerks office.
ADJOURNMENT:
Motion made by Beck seconded by Overlie that the meeting adjourn to next ;.regular
meeting, Tuesday April 15, 1947, eight o'clock P.M.
