SPECIAL MEETING COMMITTEE ROOM DECEMBER 23, 1946
C. -,.LL TO ORDER:
Meeting called to order at 6:05 o'clock P.M. Honorable Mayor Fred Huber presiding.
ROLL CALL:
By clerk, councilmen present were John Beck, Karl W. 6asey, Charles Diemond,
R.J. Larson, D.F. Rodkey and C.R. 4allis; Walter Nelson arrived at 6:10, D.W. Zent
City Attorney was absent.

Meeting called for purpose of making arrangements to set up a deposit in the bank
for matching monies in the amount of $30,000.00, this amount is approximately half
of allocation to be received from the Washington State Development Board to be
used in the construction of a Filtration Plant.
RESOLUTION NO. 274:
Monies on hand in the amount of $30,000.00 to be placed in a "Pasco Water Filtration
Plant Washington Fund" which is the matciaing money to the State Grant, The City
Treasurere is hereby instructed to transfer from the General t�und, the sum of
$30,000.00 and place the sum in the "Pasco Water Filtration Plant -State Development
Fund" and upon receipt of sufficient money from the sale of bonds, to replact the
said sum of $30,000.00 back in the General Fund, motion made by Beck seconded by
Rodkey that Resolution No. 274 -has been read, motion carried, motion made by
Beck seconded by Rodkey that Resolution No. 274 be adopted, motion carried by
roll call vote of seven (7).
Walter Nelson stated that after reading a letter from Mr. Parker of the
Washington Itate Development Board requesting that the submission of the final
report, plem s and specifications be expedited; also, Mr. Vogel of the Association
of Washington 6ities stressed the necessity of having all these documents ]Before
the Washint.ton State Development Board which, he thought would be holding a
meeting in just a few days. He felt that immediateaction should be taken. A
Resolution showing our matching fund had been set up was necessary.

Motion made by Nelson seconded by Rodkey to adjourn.
