ROLL CALL: By clerk, councilmen present John Beck, Karl 01. Casey, 'Nalterh Nelson, L.F. Rodkey, and C.R. Wallis, R.J. Larson arrived at 7:47 otclock P.M., Councilman Chas. Diemond ! was absent, City Attorney D.W. Zent was present. REGULAR ,ORDER OF BUSINESS SET ASIDE by unanimous consent. SWIMMING POOL PLANS: Swimming,poo.l plans as corrected were presented by Mr. E.G. Morgan, the plans � have been enlarged from a 300,00 gallon pool to 450, 000 gallon pool, $3 500.00 has been added for heating water by oil heating plant, final quotations (88,000,00 55 included in estimate, architects fee to be 70; the plans were reviewed by the Mayor and council; raising money to pay increased cost not covered by budget was discussed in conclusion, considering size and cost was deferred to December 3-, 1946. B. & G. EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLY COMPANY LICENSE: Application for license to operate an equipment and supply yard by Robert R. Bartron and G. Galloway-;-. at 9th and Lewis was read, motion made by Beck seconded by Casey to grant the license, office building erection subject to building code, 1 motion carried so ordered. SEWER CONNECTION CHARGE (LIEN): A letter to D.W. Zent from E.L. Collins was read relative to Ordinance 537, filing claims, collecting fee for filing, also asking if it would be legal to collect six (6%) per cent after December 5th, 1946, and who has authority to release claims, motion made by Rodkey that liens be filed and interest charged at six (6%) per cent from date of lien cost of filing and releasing also be collected, motion seconded by Casey, motion carried. INVESTORS SERVICE CORPORATION: A letter was read froMT+�.E. Crofutt relative to selling city property in Northern Pacific Plat, Blocks 4 and 13 to place money in district 27 L.I.D. Bond fund., this was turned to the City 1''ttorney. BLOCK 1583, LAND COLS FIRST ADDITION )PEARSON): Deed to be changed to read, land for municipal purposes, council has decided that a clear deed must be furnished. r FUEL SHORTAGE: Mayor Huber appoints a committee to act on the Fuel shortage situation as follows: Walter Nelson, chairman, R.S. Brown, A.T. llostetter, I.I. Grigg, Norman Robbins, and O.E. Harris, motion made by Rodkey seconded by Beck to approve committee and that they be gi�ren power to act, motion carried so ordered. G.C. ROUTT: Mr. Routts water service fee on cottages near his residence, to follow the regular procedure. McGhee to furnish information by letter. i SEFVER EXTENSION TO BLOCKS 21, 22, and 26 HELMS SECOND ADDITION: i Sewer committee reports they are advised by the Engineer, that only one block to the West off 'Lucas can be serviced account land sloping to the `..est. ACQUIRING LAND FROM NORTHERN PACIFIC AT PUMP HOUSE SITE AND 12TH STREET: was discussed, motion made by nodkey seconded by peck that the City Clerk write Graves, Ki4er and Graves as to cost of getting this property, motion carried, following 4 discussion in regard to employing out side attorneys and condemnation prodecure, a motion was made by Beck seconded. by Rodkey that the City Attorney also check cost of opinions from.other attorneys on same, where condemnation suit would have to be held, motion carried; description of property in leese on file in City Clerks office. UNFINI DIED BUSINESS: „ LIGHT POLES ON 5TH STREET: A letter was read from R.H. Skill stating light poles had been set back on Fifth and a portion of Yakima and Sypvester Streets preparatory to Street widening.
