FILTRATION BONDS:
t
.Mr. Nelson had talked to Mr. Blum in Spokane relative to using the $155,000 balance
-authorized by Ordinance 531 for Filtration construction, Mr. Merrill & Mr. Ackley
were present; Mr. Merrill slated the 1155,000 could probably be used by setting
it up in another Ordinance. This amount could be cancelled from Ordinance No. 531
but that would not be necessary, the amount could just stand as is. In case
.$155,000. worth of bonds were sold, it would take j20,000 approximately per year
-for retirement of bonds and interest. Mr. Merrill is interested at this time in
'getting a contract as fiscal agent; he feels that at the end of another 30 or 60
days bids would not be as low as if advertised at an earlier date. Contract would
be the same as submitted last time as to wording the amount of money and dates to
be specified. lie suggested that at the next regular meeting a decision be made,
if he is given the contract, adjourn meeting for one week at which time he would
have the Ordinance prepared and ready for the first reading.
