Motion made by Beck to accent Sheldons bid, details were discussed. p-Jotion seconded by Diemond. The council in general favors Sheldon being Fivan the bid if this can be worked out. Wesley Bentz, Engineer from Lansing, Tlichi_gan and desi ¢ner of the ovoid pool. Mr. Knapp and Mr. Huber of the Swi.mmin" pool committee were present. Pictures of a number of pools were displayed, prices and out standing features were stated. The council favored. the Rintz ovoid Pool, size 70 x 105 which will accommodate 1500 s immers daily.Oper. atin-cost est;_ma.tr rl et ` 2000:00 Per year. Specifications to cost $700.00 acceptance fie X250.00 acceptance fee to be paid on date of acceptance. Specification to be forwarded to the State Board of health for their approval. The $45,000.00 Pool was selPcter? by the members of the council, a 9% -over all fee for TTr. Bintz includes seven trips for inspection and supervision during construction. Motion carried by roll call vote of seven. A Rider was read by "r. Rintz stating that -tries mane on this contract prior to time of first payment such as for opening bids, shall be raid at a rate of $250.00 per trip, said amount to be deducted from first ra'vnent coming due by term of the contract. Later it was decided to have Mr. Bintz sign a Voucher, City Clerk to have t,'Tarrants printed and forward Warrant by air mail Monday February 26, 1945 ADJOURNMENT: Motion made by Marshall seconded by Casey that the meeting adjourn to 'Friday February 21rd, eight o'clock P.M. to make decision on bids for ln,ying Pi_net.
