SEWER CONNECTIONS GRAYS ADnTTION: Fred Scott atated Sewer Laterals in Grays Addition were .ready for connections. Mr. B.H. Sheldon's foreman Mr. White affirmed this statement. ORDINANCE 541: To regulate gasoline trucks delivering petroleum products Trrith in the city. The Standard, Shell, Union and Mobile Companys were present. D'11.mping at service stations and trailers parking all over the City was thoroughly discussed in concl+_zsion, Ordinances from neighboring Citys such as Yakima, Walla 11''•a11a, Wenatchee and as far as Spokane & Seattle will beobtained for consideration and a uniform Ordinance worked out. An estimate on the East Side Server is approximately X579000.00. Owens Addition Sewer included in the East Side estimate is approximately 19,200.00. Prices Vere submitted on peace meal installation of the East Side Sewer before further steps will be taken, it will be necessary to obtain a priority and clearance through the War ',Tan Power Board. FIRE TRUCK VOUCHER: Fire truck voucher presented by the Howard Cooner Company was ordered held un ,account, real hose to be replaced as hose furnished blew up. BUS ROUTE STOPS: Bus route stops not ready for consideration. EIGHT FOOT PENC7 IN BUSINESS DISTRICT: In compliance with Mr. Hubers reauest to erect an eight foot fence on Third and Col- umbia of corogated sheet iron. An Ordinance will be drawn r.emilating helght of fence in Residential Districts and stating that a personal request by appearing at a council .meeting would be mandatory for permission to erect a fence in any other dis- trict. MATER MAIN RrPLACETTENT: Replacement of 17,100 feet of cast iron water main five feet deep by day labor basis was discussed, Torr. Sheldon would submit a price on day labor basis. Lotion carried so ordered: Detailed i..nformaton to be furnished by the Water Department FIRE AND LIGHT: The Fire Committee recommend that flblm regular salaried firemen be placed on duty right away. One man at the phone and one in charge of the trucks at all times. Salaries 210.00 and 200.00 per month with a si-Tty day probation period. Sheley, Presna 11, Bamford and Weltz were mentioned as being considered for the positions.
