a Have moved their temporary building from First Street between Clark and
Lewis and request that their deposit of X200.00 he returned. TvTotion made by
Booth and seconded by Rodkey that the deposit be returned. Lotion carried so
ordered.

A license application to operate a retail grocery store at Nixon and Third
was presented. 1;?0tion made by Booth and seconded by Linderman that the 1944
License be granted. Motion carried so ordered.
DATUAGE TO GARAGE
A letter was read from D. J. Speier, 926 South 9th, stating that '?. H.
Sheldon's crew while making sewer installation, damaged the roof and doors of his
garage, and also tore up the driveway. No effort has been :'Dade toward correction.
I Mr. Rod':ey offered to contact foreman and see what could be done. 10th ,and
j Lewis has also been left in a bad shape from the same operation.
! REPORTS FROII COT TITTEES:
TRANSFERRING OIL AT SERVICE STATIONS
M Islr. 'Marshall reports a bad condition exists when large oil trucks di.snense
oil to the service stations and recommends that an ordinance be drafted. correcting
this practice.
STREET_COII_?ITTEE recommends that call for bids be advertised for a street grader.
Motion made by Rodkey and seconded by 'Linderman authorizing call for bids. TTotion
carried so ordered. A resolution for purchase of road mix will be presented at
the next meeting. Bad places in the streets and sidewalks will be taiTen care of
by Brickey.

SEWER CO7TITTEE reports that in connection with the sewer. .line serving new
project north of City Limits, there will be three manholes on First Street instead
of one.

that the Council body favors the erection of a hutment adjacent the City Hall
on the west with sewer and water facilities from City Hall service lines. Full
description of property is needed. Present quarters are needed by Police Dent.

The Association of Washington Cities desire the Council's opi.ni.on on these
bills. Following the reading of Tleasures Number One and Two, motion was made by
Booth and seconded by Marshall that both measures be indorsed. I:Totion carried so
ordered.
City Treasurer recommends the purchase of a coin counting Machine. Coiincil
favors negotiating for a hand power machine. City Clerk to renew request to
purchase.

V City Treasurer's report for November 1944 was read.
City Clerk furnished each member a copy of the Novembar 1944 Distribution Budget
of all departments.
Water Ilanager's November and December reports were read.
