the City Attorney.

REPAIRS TO LAVATORY IN _FIRE DEPARTMENT:
Pyr. Elmer Leslie of the Pasco Plumbing and Heating Company reports that,_thel
repairs and replacements would amount to approximately $80.00 and recommended cast iron

A_ voucher presented by Gertnude Sveier was again brought'to the attention of the
council upon recommendation this is to be turned to the Civil Service Board for
correction or approval.
PRIORITIES GUIDE yearly subscription has raised from $29.0P to $35.00 the City
Attorney feels that this is needed, the council recommends the renewal at $35.00.

AGREE11ENT FOR PURCHASE OF BONDS & FISCAL AGENT EXTETdDED 60 DAYS:
A letter was read from Paine -Rice and Co.. also Resolution No. 212
extending agreement another 60 days as of the 8th day of January 1944 motion made
by Booth seconded by Linderman to adopt Resolution No. 212, motion carried so
ordered.
RESOLUTION_NO.213,^extending a like agreement with Fiscal Agents Richard 4
& Blum Inc. 7O days as of January 9th 1944, motion made by Marshall seconded by
Linderman to adopt the Resolution motion carried so ordered.
F. .E, JUVENAL' S PROPERTY ON SOUTH 8TH:
A petition with fifteen signatures was read stating that Mr. F. E. Juvenal's
building activities on South 8th were creating a nuisance and were detrimental
to neighbothood property. This was turned to the special committee which at
present is compiling an amendment or an ordinance correcting like conditions.

Committee reports no interference experienced during a test trip with
Mr. Skill; The Easement was reread Mr. McCurrach spoke regarding insulation
and willingness to cooperate with the city a supplementory letter concerning
futurd developments on that location which would call for changes in the height
of the poles was discussed and the coucil assured that the letter would be forth
coming. Motion made by Booth seconded by Marshall that the easement be accepted]
motion carried so ordered. Regular order of business resumed by unanimous con -f
sent.

terms of the agreement, Police to notify DePue to comply with agreement without

121r. Taylor's application for a card table license renewal was read and O.K.'D
Al Layman's application for two card tables was approved following the reading of refer-
ence letters, through a motion made by Booth seconded by Rodkey carried so ordered.
J. C. Pratt's temporary building at 3rd and Lewis now being used as a bus depot, was
discussed the building has not been erected according to agreement motion made by Baker
seconded by Drennan that the building -be put in shape within 10 days as per agreement
or removed motion carried so ordered, City Attorney to so notify Mr. Pratt.
WATERAND SEWER:: No report has been received on proposed water amin and intake or
sewer project estimates from John W. Cumningham. The contract on file in the water office
was read by the City Attorney,,the matter of inspection was questioned motion made by
Diemond seconded by Linderman that the contract as submitted be accepted motion carried
by a roll call vote of seven.
STREET COM�IITTEL: The street department has been cleaning street lamps.
The Committee reports that lights are badly needed at the Parkside Homes and the Federal
Trailer Camp Site at 7th and Ainsworth motion made by Baker seconded by Marshall that
the report be accepted and that the nadded lightd be installed a1do that the City Attorney
take steps to obtain priority for material motion carried so ordered. Pacific Power &
Light Company to give estimate on material.
GRADER FOR THE STREET DEPARTIENT: steps are being taken to secure a priority on a grader.
LOTS FOR THE PORT DISTRICT_: Scott will call a meeting Sunday to further arrangements
for an exchange.
PARKS AND CE%IETERYS: Purchasing_ additional property_ adjacent cemetery v;as again brought
up the price quoted in the amount of 500.00 was thought to -be a little high Mr. Booth
to contact the Irrigation District Committee for a better price.
,%CEIiETERY GRAVES MISHANDLED: A letter was read from the City Attorney advising the City
Treasurer to accept payment from Lees Perry Company and issue certificate of ownership
then reimburse Franklin County with two other graves; The City Treasurer had questioned
her authority to accept payment and issue certificate of ownership; following a short
discussion motion was rade by Rodkey seconded by Booth that the City Treasurer accept
rpayment from Lee Perry ompany and issue certificate fair two senior citizens graves and
reimburse Franklin Coun�y by transfering two other graves motion carried so ordered.
In order to eliminate further confusion it was recommendediby the council body that the
Sexton be instructed to obtain the signature of purchaser on contract before the grave
is dug. Sexton to be so notified by letter.

The Police Department's activity report was read for the month of December 1943.
Also report to the Police Committee from the Chief of Police.

Marshall that Ordinance No. 527 has been given the first reading motion carried, motion
made by Marshall seconded bu Linderman that Ordinance No. 527 be given the second reading;
by title only motion carried. Motion made by Linderman seconded by Booth that Ordinance'
No. 527 has been given the second reading motion carried. Motion made by Booth seconded
by Linderman that by unanimous consent Ordinance No. 527 be given the third reading motion
carried. Motion made by Marshall seconded by Booth that Ordinance No. 527 bias been given

Ordinance No. 527 be adopted motion carried by a roll call vote of seven. There was no
one present at the public hearing to be held on this date.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS::
COLLECTING CHARGES FORSYNER CONNECT 1_T0 NEW OVER ALL PROJECT::
v�Ias discussed a flat rate of 25.00 was mentioned, motion made by
Linderman seconded by Diemond that a flat $25.00 fee or cost be collected for connecting'
to sewer system and paid into the water orerating fund motion carried so orderdd.
A trailer back of 217 Lewis owned by I�4rs.'J. C. Reed was discussed
also Mr. Meckems trailer north of the iJlobile Gas Station on 3ecohd and Lewis case pending
in Superior Court.
NEW BUSINESS: CREAMERY STATION ON TACOMA BETWEEN CLARK A_ND BONIIEVILLE1
Lir. Wilmolre of the Sun Rise Creamery desires to purchase two lots North
of their building owned by the city motion made by Booth seconded by Ma.rsiriall to offer for
.sale the three lots at $150.00 each motion carried so ordered.
ADJOURNMENT:
