Hoporgble Mayor Protem D:.,oF,,'dRo.CJ.}rey presiding. ROLL CALL: By Clerk councilmen present were Chas Diemond, V'd. E. Drennan, V. F. Marshall, and D. F. Rodkey. Councilmen absent were D. Byron Baker, C. L. Booth and -M. J. Lind- erman. BILLS: r A list of bills was read for payment, motion made by Marshall seconded by Diemond that all vouchers properly signed and authorized by the committee be paid motion carried by roll call vote of four. A voucher presented by the Empire Electric Company in the amount of $523.76 was again discussed and in conclusion a motion was made by Marshall seconded by Drennan that the voucher beā€¢honored motion carried by a roll call vote of four. REGULAR ORDER.OF BUSINESS SET ASIDE through a motion made by Marshall seconded by Diemond, Carried so ordered. i GRIGG TO TAP SEWER: { Mr. Chas Grigg requests permission of the council to mike a connection to the sewer either by a Y'or a manhole in the alley between 7th and 8th to serve his building on the corner of Lewis -and 7th. It-wa.s agreed that A. Y tap would be 0. K. if properly installed. Motion made by D.1-emon.dlseconded by Marshall to give Mr. Grigg authority to make this special to the sewer under the supervision of Mater Manager D. W. McGhee motion carried so ordered. Mr. Grigg also requests permission to erect a wall which would be part of the building and also a retaining wall on the alley between 7th and 8th at Lewis, so the a lley can be filled in, the wall would be 50'x6'X1', two feet would remain above the surface to prevent any one falling or driving in the basement. Motion made by Mar-, shall seconded by Diemond that Grigg be given authority to build this retaining wall 50' X 1' X 6' in the alley at 7th and Lewis motion carried so ordered. t JUVENAL' S BUILDINGS: Mr. Nelson, Mr. Nuss and Jerry Buckley were making inquiry as to what action could be taken to prevent Mr. Juvenal from.having unsightly buildings etc on his property which is across the street from Nelsons; following a discussion it was thought that a petition might do some good; They were advised that a committee had been appointed to establish an ordinance to take care of just such cases as much as possible.
