CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at eight oclock P. M. Honorable Mayor Protem
i id1ng.
HOLD, CALL: By clerk councilmen present C. L. Booth, .Chas Diemond, W. E. Drennan,
V. F. Marshall and D. F. Rodkey. Councilmen absent D..Byron Baker and M.J.Lindermc,
REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS SET ASIDE through a motion made Marshall seconded by
Diemond carried so ordered.
READING OF ORDINANCES: ORDINANCE NO. 520 AN ORDINAI`,CE DECLARINF AN EIZERGENCY IN THE CITY
OF PASCO AND APPROPRIATING THE SU141 OF EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY-FIVE AND N0/100 0845.00
DOLLARS TO DEFRAY EXPENSES RESULTING FROII NECESSARY INCREASES IN SALARIES WITHIN
THE CITY OF PASCO. Motion made by Booth seconded by Diemond and carried that
Ordinance No 520,1hbei�tang�.`�e the first reading; Motion made by Booth seconded
by Marshall that Ordinance No. 520 has been given the first reading motion carried
so ordered.
TRAILER PARKED NEAR TABERNACLE:::-.
Mr Chalker appeared before the Council requesting permission to park a trailer
urfer a tree near the Tabernacle, but only 16 feet from Mrs. Gantenbine's residence
he states however that she is willing bo give permission to park there. He was
advised to obtain the permission in writing present same to the Chief of Police.
DUMPING CANS ETC NEAR 11LNORTH DOUGLASS STREET.
Mr. David Scott reports that -cans etc. are being dumped on and near his property
and requests that signs be posted or other steps taken to prevent this practice;
Police and 14ealth Officer should be notified; Councilmen present are going out to
the situation folling the close of the meeting. Motion made by Marshall seconded
by Diemond that an investigation be made and report at next meeting motion carried
SANITARY CUPS FOR CITY HALL::
Mr-. Drennanasked the city clerk to purchase drinking cups for the building.
CLEANING POLICE DEPARTMENT:
The building committee reports a bid of $90.00 for cleaning the police office, hal
lavatory and cells has been received by the chief of Police motion made by Diemond
to accept the bid if it encludes paint and calsomine for office, hall, lavatory
and cells and is also submitted in writing motion seconded by Booth carried so ord
Mr. Drennan to O.K. bid.
WATER EASEMENT ON "A" STREET:
Anr e.Asementefior'll-services on "A" street owned by I,1Ir. Fann was discussed two places
have been sold one to C. S. Davis and the other to Dan Doyle, Mr. Davis under took
flush out the main on his property and put other services out of order, the water
manager is requesting that authority of some sort be obtained allowing the Water
Department.enter upon this property to service their mains and connections. Karl
Gritm is Mr. Fanns private Attorney but is of the opinion that something could
be worked out.
WATER`MA.IN UNCOVERD BY FEDERAL HOUSING AUTHORITY:
The Federal Housing Authority is to lower water mains, Mr. Olson was requested
July 8th 1943 to advise the council what steps were being taken toward lowering
350 feet of wate-T main on Vine Street, and also informed that this work must be
done to the satisfaction of the water department; To date this work has not been
started and no word received brom Mr. Olson. Motion made by Marshall seconded by
Diemond that Mr. Olson be -informed that the water, fh'u'st be lowered to regular dept.

TELEPHONE AT THE SHOP OUT OF ORDER: Motion made by Booth seconded by Diemond
that the city clerk write the Telephone Compania requesting that the phone at the
shop No. 560 be put in service motion carried.

Motion made by Booth seconded by Marshall that the meeting adjourn to next regular
meeting night Tuesday July 20th., 1943, eight oclock P. M. I -lotion carried so order
