Tohns on presiding. OLL CALL: By Clerk councilmen present were C. L. Booth, Chas Diemond, V. F. Mardhall, and D. F. Rodkey Councilmen absent D. Byron Baker, W. E. Drennan and M. J. Linderm" NISHED BUSINESS::; FILTRATION_PLANT, PUMPING UNIT, INTAKE AND CONNECTIN MAIN: Mr. J. W. Cunningham's letter of April 17, 1943 was again considered, and in further discussing the `F.-W.:A. application for the filtration plant, pumping unit, intake and connecting main, several points were brought out one that the Government might install and operate the filtration plantthen sell to the city at a discount after the duration, an outright grant at this time was thought to be impossible; The Mayor stressed the need of a decission as to what the council wanted the application and estimates drawn up to'cover; revising the present pump house seems to be out for the present year. In conclusion it was recommended that water committee, water manager and the City Attorney meet and prepair a letter to J. W. Cunningham in answer to his above mentioned letter, setting out what the appl-4atilll cation and estimates are to cover this will be presented to Mr. Cunningham in Bell ingham at the annual Water Convention by Mr, McGhee or Mr, Linderman. This committ e meeting will be held April 39, 1943. It was also thought that the Plans and estima es drawn up last year could be revised and thus lessen the cost of data needed at this time. SEWER PIPE FOR PARK SIDE HOUSING PROJECT. In discussing the sewer installation of the Park Side Housing Projuct, it was suggested that the City Attorney write Mr. Durkey requesting that a 12" sewer pipe be installed inttead of a 10" pipe which the City Attorney states the plans and blue prints shove/ Motion made by Diemond seconded by Marshall that the City ccp'u / a 12" sewer pipe to be used.) accept a 12" sewer installation at the Park Side Housing Project location motion earried so ordered. Y RESOLUTION NO. 202 AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK to execute a fewer- easement to the United States of America for the purpose of construction, instal- lation and maintenance of a sewer line, serving Park.Sde Housing; This sewer pipe line to be 12" pipe, motion madd by Marshall seconded by Booth that the resolution be adopted motion carried so ordered. READING OF ORDINANCES: ORDINANCE NO. 514: AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AN ADMISSION TAX ON PERSONS PAYING ADMISSIONS, OR WHO ARE ADMITTED FREE OR AT REDUCED RATES TO ANY PLACE: FIXING THE - AMOUNT AND PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION THEREOF: AND PRESCRIBINGPENALIIES.
