Honorable Mayor Protem iii Nnd- pg;qn presiding. ROLL CALL:: By Clerk Councilmen present were D. Byron Baker, W. R. Cox, RQ.O. Hall, M. J. Linderman and VIDJ. McDonnell arrived at nine -fifteen at which time Ba ker was excused. Councilman C. V. Downey was absent. READING OF THE MINUTES:: Minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved as corret- ed; By unanimous -consent. REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS SET ABIDE throught a motion made by Hall seconded by Cox carrie so ordered;; TO DISCUSS THE MILK ORDINANCE with the Health Coordinator and Dairy operators present. Motion made by Cox seconded by Hall that Ordinance No. 407 be given the tb6ohdrreddQg, byftitleroA1g mottonerairied so ordered; Motion made by Cox_ seconded by Hall that Ordinance No.497 has been given the second reading moti< carried so ordered; ITotion made•by Cox seconded by Hall that Ordinance No. 497 bE given the third reading in full motion carried so ordered discussion followed motion made by Cox seconded by Hall`t deleating item (1) six of section five Q which calls for•the date of production, motion carried so ordered • Motion made by Hall seconded by Cox that the last sentance of sub'sectio5five (53 "For each milk an additional $5.00 for each dairy from whom milk or cream is purchased" be strict motion carried so ordered. Motion made by Hall seconded by Cox that Ordinance No 497 be adopted as amende& motion carried by a roll call vote of four. REGULAR ORDER OF DUSINESS RESUMED by unanimous consent of the Council. POLICE COMIJITTEE:: Reporting on the putchase of , a prowl car submitted the fol- lowing; Hostetter motor 1940 Ford four door $88.80, Mr. Lape a 1941 Ford $921.85. Council not in favor of purchasing a second hand car at such a high figure; Prices on a new car to be submitted for consideration. PARKS:: Motion was :rade by McDonnell to remove the caretaker at River View Park account grass and trees not being cared for, motion died for the want of a second9 Park Committee to look over the situation. HOSE at Volunteer Park should be put away at night, T.Zr. Hall to speak to the caret Weeds are l�ing removed from Sylvester Park.
