ROLL CALL:: By Clerk, records all members present. D. Byron Baker was excused at nine ten and returned again at ten oclock. REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS SET ASIDE, through a motion made by Linderman seconded by James carried so ordered; to hear from D. R. W. Ripley health coordinator for the Pa co - Kennewick area. ORDINANCE NO. 495 governing food sanitation in public places, was discussed and thoroughly analyzed while being given the third reading, Dr. Ripley an his sanitarian are to be responsible for the enforcement of this Ordinance, the sanitarian will assist each proprietor in obtaining the highest rate possible for his establisl ent. Dairies and milk to be taken up at a later date. ORDINANCE NO.4 ; ; 1,Iotion made by Downey seconded by Hall that Ordinance Ido. 495 be given the third reading motion carried so ordered. Motion made by Downey seconded by James that Ordinance No 495 has been given the third reading in full motion carried so ordered. UNI'II;ISHED BUSINESS:: VOUCHERS ORDERDD PAID: Vouchers held over for signatures were presented, properly signed and ordered paid through.a motion made by Cox seconded by Linderman carried by roll call vote of six. GOVERNI.1ENT GRANT FILTRATION PLANT:: A letter was read from John W. Cunningham consul engineer of Portland Ore., requesting the council's decision on size of plant to be applied for motion made by James seconded by Linderman that the application be drawn covering a six million (6,000,000) gal plant motion carried by a roll call vote of six McDonnell voting "NO". GRAVEL PIT AT AINSWORTH AND RAILROAD SPUR: A discussion relative to action taken against Harold Blanton, Clifton Applegate and Henry George and any other parties concerned, for leaving city street and alley's below grade, was entered into motion was made by McDonnell that an ordinance be drawr prohibiting gravel pits within the city limits motion"died for the want of a second discussion continued, Baker ddsiring to know why action was not taken, McDonnell re -I reats his motion which was seconded by Baker carried so orderdd. )nt N011 BUSINESS:: AIR ArIAIL BASE I4EIv!ORIAL:: Moving memorial stone dedicating the opening of Pasco Air Fail service, presented to Pasco by the Chamber of Commerce of Portland Ore. was considered, it can no longer remain at the'Navy Air Training Base; Motion made by James seconded by Linderman that the marker be placed in the City Park under the.sup r - vision of the Parks Committee motion carried so ordered. BUSINESS LICENSE FOR CITY CLUB OF PASCO:: S. M. Mullen has applied for a.license to operate a private club at 110 So. 4th, application turned to Council for investigatic motion rade by Linderman seconded by James that the matter be turned to the City ,&ttorney motion carried so ordered. rII SCELLANMOUS : : FLOAT AT BEACH IN NEED OF REPAIRS:: Hall and Cox report the float in need of redecking, present condition hazardous, it V thought that $15.00 worth of material would be ample, Butterfield's charges for the labor would be .60 per hour. LIFE GUARD Hall thought it might be possible to hire I4Iiss Lindner of Connell as life guard.
