ALL TO ORDER: I,1eeting called to order at eight -five P. I:I. Honorable Mayor E. S. Johnston
presiding.
OLL CALL: By Clerk cotLncilmen present were Harry Chenoweth, C. V. Downey, R. 0. Hall,
Robert James, M. J. Linderman and T.I. J. IdcDonnell; D. Byron Baker arriving at 8:15
EADING OF THE I:IUNUTES: Minutes of the previous meeting were read corrected and approved
as corrected.
EGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS SET ASIDE: through a motion made by Chenoweth seconded by Linder.
carried so ordered. To open bids on ur_iping equipment, ONE bid on pumps from Fairb
I."Zorris & Co., was opened and read; One bid on a meter from R. W. Sparling Co., was
opened and read, and ONE bid on a meter from the Rensselaer Valve Co. submitted wi
the Fairbanks Illorris & Co,'s bid was read; scarcity of bids seemed to be on account
bidders having to install equipment; after some sidcussion a motion was aride b7, ?I Li
erman seconded by Downey that all bids be rejected and members of the Council body
Water Manager to meet Sunday Dedember 7th to consider other plans for re�adzr_ertisin
motion carried so ordered. Engineer G. D. Hall of Yakima to be notified of action
Motion made by Linderman seconded by Baker that the City Clerk return all deposits

The City Attorney spoke to the Council about Clarence Ludwigs, owner of p
on Clark and Fourth who had be -7 rdered to clean weeds from his property, same was
attehdeddto and the City Attorney requestd the authority be granted by the Council
to order the Street Department to clean off lots, expense of same to be charged ag
the property, order was so given by the I'layor no objections registere& order decla
passed.
City Attorney was also authorized to negotiate further with Northern Paci
Railroad officials in regard to rental for pumpliouse site and cancellation of clau
in Northern Pacific contract with the City.
MR. JONES of the Catepillar Company informed the Council that a medium s
grader would answer all requirements of a City this size and location and was $100
cheaper than the largest size, lie would like the City to try out one for a while f
of charge; Delivery could be expected in thirty or forty days.

such bills stating he would like information on time limit on employees for time off,

to cover tyle same purpose in the amount of $16.33 were held up to check with figures
estimated by Grant H. Stringham.
