Meeting called in accordance with the Statutes, for the purpose of adopting the
Budget for the year 1942.
No quorum being present the meeting was adjourned to Tuesday October 7th, eight
o'clock P.M.1941.

CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at eight -fifteen o'closk Honorable 1-layor E. S.
Johnston presiding.
ROLL CALL: By Clerk, Councilmen present were D. Byron Baker, Harry Chenoweth, C. V.
Downey, R. O. Hall and Robert James. Councilmen absent were M. J. Linderman and
M. J1 McDonnell.
REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS SET ASIDE: through a motion made by Hall seconded by James carr:
so ordered, to hear from Mr. Jensen of the State Health Department on the subject
of garbage and garbage Ordinances; parts of different ordinances were read by Mr.
Jensen and discussed with the Council no action was taken.
CHANGING COUNCIL I+IEETING NIGHT BACK. TO TUESDAY NIGHT: was considered, and the Cit,
Attorney was requested to draw up an ordinance to provide for this change.
REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS RESUMED by unanimous consent of the Council body.
The Budget was carefully checked and considered; In checking the Library departmei
Mr. Haylett speaking for the Library Board requested that the -Janitor's salary be
changed from $600.00 a year to $240.00, and the Book repair and shelves allocatioi
be changed to $460.00, this request was granted,
ORDINANCE NO. 480 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 1942 FOR THE CITY
OF PASCO.
Motion made by Chenoweth seconded by James that Ordinance No. 480 be
given the first reading, motion carried so ordered. I1Iotion made by James seconded
Baker that Ordinance No 480 has been given the first reading, motion carried so
ordered. Motion made by James seconded by Baker that Ordinance No. 480 be given
the second reading, Motion carried so ordered. Motion made by Baker seconded by
James that Ordinance No. 480 has been given the second reading motion carried so
ordered. Motion made by James seconded by Hall that Ordiaance No. 480 be amender
to read that the Library Janitor's salary will be $240.00 and the Book repair and
shelves allocation shall be $460.00 motion carried so ordered. Illotion made by
Downey sedonded by Chenoweth that Ordinance No. 480 section one, Cemetery Depart-
ment be amended to read, installation of phone and service $75.00 and deduct pipe
purchasing allocation from $1000.00 to $925.00 motion carried so ordered.
1-Totion made by James seconded by Hall that Ordinance No. 480 be given the third
reading as amended motion carried -so ordered. Motion made by Downey seconded by
Baker that Ordinance No. 480 has been given the third reading as amended.
Motion made by Chenoweth seconded by James that Ordinance No. 480 be adopted as
amended, motion carried by a roll call vote of five.
