REGULAR.SESSION COD11ITTEE ROOM JULY 3, 1941.
CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at eight -fifteen o'clock by Honorable Mayor Pro
Tem M. J. Linderman.
ROLL CALL: By Clerk Councilmen present were D. Byron Baker, Harry Chenoweth, R. 0.
Hall, and M. J. McDonnell; Councilmen absent were C. V. Downey and Robert James.
MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING:: Were read and approved as read.

Chenoweth seconded by Baker that all bills signed by the Claims Committee be paid

ment claim; Wendell Browns Insurance Agency's Pion ownership Insurance Policy was
turned to R..O. Hall for a report. W. W. Bear's claim for cleaning gutterd on the
City Hall, was turned to Chenoweth; Theodore Petterson's claim for Life Guard Sala
B.trd Lott advises that the Red Cross pays Before the City. Mr. DePue's voucher for
labor at Volunteer Park was also held ups and turned to R. 0. Hall.Union Oil to St.i

In connection with bills the question of toilet equipment installed at the beach v
discussed, prison type had been requested but not furnished, Robert Ohlnad making
the installation R. 0. Hall to investigate further and report.
BY UNANIMOUS CONSENT the regular order of business was set aside to hear from Scott Roff
in regard to water service for the Port District property, fire Prot-edtion and
domestic purposes, this was turned to Water Manager and Water Committee.
Regular order of business resumed.
A letter was from the Commission of The Port of Pasco accepting the terms and con-
a�:1.1sconditions in Ordinance No. 466 governing the installation of a spur track on Rivf
1'venub.
EASEMENT AGREEMENT FOR CROSSING INCLINE TRACY ON NINTH ST.
g letter and -easement agreement was:read.from V. E. Williams, Western Right of W
Agent for the Northern Pacific Railway Co., granting the opening of Ninth Street
across their incline track; The Company reserves the right to revoke this permit
upon a 90 day notice to the City; Motion made by Baker seconded by Hall that the
easement be accepted, also that Mayor Pro Tem be allowed to sign and City Clerk
attestn this agreement motion carried so ordered.
REPORTS FROM OFFICERS:

The City Budget Control Report prepaired by the State Highway? Department was read.
City Treasurer Mary Mee spoke to the Council in regard to an adding machine for
her office,.after a short sidcussion, Motion was made by Linderman that the Finance
Committee confer with Ronald Henderson as to the delivery of machine purchased b
by bid from.him,committee given power to acquire another machine, motion seconded
by Hall carried so ordered.
The City Treasurer asked for additional help for a few days, no decision was mad
READING OF ORDINANCES:
By Unanimous consent Ordinance number 468 was set aside.
ORDINANCE Nps, 471 was entered into by discussion, without a reading. Motion mad
Chenoweth that Ordinance Number 471 be set aside for unanimous investigation 1W
by the Council Body and reports 'submitted Motion seconded byMcDonnell and carri
so orderdd.
A. RESOLUTION to adopt the City Budget Control Report for another bienneal was
was read, motion made by Baker seconded by Hall to accept the resolution, Motion
carried so.ordered.
PETITIONS: A.letter from the Pacific Power & Light Co. petitioning for the vacation_+_of Ma
St. between Washington and River Avenues, was read; Council in favor of vacating
ADJOUR NILD, NT
Motion made by Baker seconded by Hall that the meeting adjourn until next
regular mebting night Thursday July 177 1941 eight o(clock P. M. Motion
carried so orderedi.
