Regular order of business was set aside, by unanimous consent to hear from the
P. T. A. bommitteo of the .1hittier School Dristrict, they presented a proposition
whereby :'r. Avery desires to donate two blocks on Colncibia Street :lying east of Oregon,
to th City for play park purposes, providing the City will maintain it. 111 Councilmen
were asked by tho ilayor to Investigate and report at the noxt meeting, City Clerk
instrucked to acknowledge this offer.

A letter from The Port Of Pasco .ias read in regards to the purcha:.:e of a nnrmber
of pieces of City Property by the Port District for use as harbor areas and Industrial
Districts. _lotion made by Linderman that this communications be placed on the table
for the time being. llotion died for want of a s,:cond . After a short discussion City
Clerk instructed to acknowledge Receipt of letter which wa.sgiven consideration,
Stating also that the Council welcomes their co:_.mtttee:to_scuss their views.

costing approxmately 26.00. :'otion seconded by Linderman carried by roll call

Lir. Hall of The Dependable Store of'ers the City waste water over flow from
their ice ;cathine, if they knish to utilize it. This was discuused with no action taken.

ADII'G OF THE MINUTES OF TLE PREVIOUS MEETING:
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
REGULAR,ORDER OF BUSINESS SET ASIDE:
By unanimous consent the regular order of business was set aside to hear from
citizens desiring to bring certain subjects before the Council.
FIRE AT TiD; CITY DUIdP:
Mr.•& Mrs Xing asked o be reembursed to the extent of $20,00 on account of a fir
at the City Dump burning their fence, cabin and salvage; The fence posts and Cabi
lumber were firnished by James Sing. Linderman made a motion that the Mayor appoi t
a oommittee to investigate; Motion died for the want of a second, Dir. & Mrs ging
were assured by the Mayor Pro Tem that the Council would take this matter under
advisement.
,M. WARDEN FANN SPEAKS FOR PORT CO1,11ISSION:
Mr. :lar en Fann spoke in behalf of tF_e_P_o_rT District, presenting their desire to
purchase all of the City Owned property bordering on the River line. Mr. Lindermai
of the opinion that tkree hundred feet at txe Beach should be reserved; Mr. Phill ps
in favor of reserving four hundred feet. Downey suggested that the matter be tabl d
until working plans are completed or presented. Mr. Fann not in favor of that sug-
gestion; Downey then made a motion that the affair be turned to the Public property
and .Docks Committee" Motion seconded by Linderman and carried so ordered Westby,
Downey and Phillips to work with this committee on account of Rail Road Employee
members not all ways able tox act. It was suggested that a meeting be called Sunday
August 4th 9 oclock A. I:I. at the City Hall.
PARKING LOTS ADJACENT TO CITY HALL:
L. L. S r ng am, Ray C enewor arry Cheneworth, Dr. Greenwell and FRED Scott
revived the subject of clearing off the lots adjacent to the City Hall, they asks
to have the lots leveled and curb planks placed at the curb and enough -'gravel acatt
ered to keep down the dust, thus render a public parking lot and lessen the hazarl
ous,practice of double parking. Their principal desire at this time is a budget
allowance so crea0d to take care of this w)rk in the near future. After some dis-
cussion the Maydgsked Mr. Brickey to see about getting pea gravel for this purpos
at his earliest convenience.
ILLS AND COI,SuNITICATIONS:
A letter from Hansen & Rowland Inc. was read asking for authority trom the
Council to cancel a liability Bond in favor TEE 0I TY.OF_PASCO.by! ths.Empire
Electric Company. The' City Clerk was so Instructed.
The following bills against the various departments of the City of Pasco were read
and ordered paid. Motion made by Linderman that all bills against the City Having
been si�ned by the Committee be paid, Ilotion seconded by Downey carried by Roll Y
