REGULAR MEETING COUNCIL CHAMBERS JULY 20, 1939,
CALL TO ORDER:
Meeting called to order at eigh�uthirty o'clock with Mayor Pro Tem W.E.Burns
presiding.
ROLL CALL: By Clerk Councilmen present were Burns, Downey, McDonnell, anduPangle; absent
were,Linderman Partch and WEstby.
BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS:
Aletter to the City Treasurer from Attorney 14. A. Marquis of Walla Walla was
read where by Butler Disman of Kansas City Mo., holds Local Improvement Bond #15
dated January 2, 1912, ffom district #32, and is asking for payment through Mr.
Marquis.
The fundhas $388.92 in it at the present time and they will accept that amount,
in payment for the $500.00 bond. Motion made by McDonnell seconded by Downey that
this be held over until next meeting, August 3rd., 1939.
A letter from B. B. Rorrigan was read, relative to extending ornamental lightsi
west on Lewis Street; This was referred to the Street Committee Motion made by Pangip
seconded by Downey and carried.
REPORTS FROM COMIfI TTEES :
Street Committees report on Ed Dickinson's Claim;
Mr. Burns advises that Mr. Dickinson does not wish to sell his blacksmith equi
ment; Owing to the fact at Mr. Dickinson was very desirous of leaving or storing thi
with the City at the City Yards and no mention was made at the time in regard to ren
Motion made by McDonnell and seconded by Pangle that ten dollars($10.00) be allowed
for rent and equipment moved from the City Barns, Motion carried, Clerk to so notify
Mr. Dickinson.
Pangle and Downey Committee unable to report on completeing room for Mayor's
office. BArns suggested the purchase 08oa second hand filing cabinet now available
from Mrs C. P. Larsen for $15.00 Motion made by Pangle and seconded by Downey that
this purchase be made, carried by roll call vote of four.
REPORT FROM OFFICERS:
PDTice Oiidges report for June showed $2#.00 collected in fines.

Motion made by Downey aha seconded by Pangle, that the bill from the Washington
Floral Service in the amount of $16.25 be paid. Motion carried by roll call vote of 91
Bill from the Pasco Hardware Company in the amount of $72.67 was again rejected.
All the following bill were ordered paid Notion made by Linderman and seconded by
?angle car ie=1 by a roll call vote of sig.
Water Manager- McGhee's monthly report showed a gain of $1,636.27.
