REPORTS FROM OFFICERS: Planning Commission Report was read discussed and predered filed. READING OF ORDINANCES: Ordinance Number 445 an Ordinance relating to Intoxicating Liquors, provi for the control and regulation thereof, defining crimes and providing Penalties therefor, and declaring and emergency. Having had it third reading motion made b derman and seconded by Pangle and carried that ordinance number 445 be declared have had its third reading; Motion made by Linderman and seconded by Pangle and carried without descent on roll call that ordinance number 445 be declared final adopted. Ordinance Number 444: AnOrdinance amending Ordinance No, 435,. pertaining regulation and restriction of the Location and use of Uuildings and land within City of Pasco, providing fcr'tthe creation of two additional Districts to be Ino, Commercial Districts C_2 and C_3, and providing for the regulation and use of bu. and lands within such Commercial Districts 0_2 and C-3. A motion made by Pangle this Ordinance be turned over to the Building Connittee for facts and figures to presented at the next meeting Motion seconded by Linderman and carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS : Dosie Kennedy's claim against the City for ;32.00 covering the care of a child sixteen days; !,lotion made by Downey that this blaim be rejected and Clerk to so notify Mrs. Kennedy of disallowment, motion seconded by Pangle carried. Ed Dickinson's claim for two years rental on a forge, anvil and block in the amou of x;40,p00, was discussed; W. E. Burns reports that Mr. Dickinson agrees that one dollar per month would be a satisfactory rent. These tools have been at the City shed in the City Yards since February 23, 1938. Motion made by Downey that this matter be turned over to the Street Committee to ascertain what arrangements can be made relative to a purchase of this equipment, motion seconded by Pangle and carried. Mention was also made that A. B. Hill may have an anvil he would like to sell. C. V. D owney and V. G. Pangle were appointed by the Council to act as a Oommitte to interview Ray Hicks in regard to finishing room for TTayers office and police Judge's Court Room. In the interest of Safety and to remove an existing hazard now present on Third Street between Yakima & Nixon Streets, the City of Pasco Formally and offically request the removal of power poles now located between Yakima & Nixon Streets on 3rd. Clerk ordered to notify Pacific p®wer & Light Co. of this condition. PASCG, DASH. liTSHED BUSINESS CONTINUED: Motion made by DOGJney and seconded by Linderman. BUSINESS: Easement Deed presented by Roy Skill for a utility strip on block 25 in Pettit's addition, this strip was to be five feet wide, Council not in favor of a strip this narrow; "lotion made by Linderman and seconded by Pangle that Street Committee contact Mr. Skill relative to changingthis strip to ten feet in width. Hotion carried. ;OUS Mr. Sample Sexton at the Cemetery asked permission to use, part of '180.00 eighty dollars, budgeted for Power expense, for supplies; Owing to stronger water pressim power will not be needed, the Council unaminously granted this request. The Care Taker at River View Park isrefusing people the priviledge of using those grounds for pienic'purposes. complaint made by C. V. Downey. Unanimous consent given to use Street equipment far grading at ':;est Side School. CALL: By Clerk Councilmen present were Burns, Downey, Linderman and Pangle. Absent were McDonnell, Partch and Jestby. The City Council met in Special Session for the purpose of discussing for adoption, Easement Deed for a Utility strip in block(25)twenty five Pettits Addition. Easement Deed read and followed onsketch by Council Motion made by Downey that the tepOrt be; adotbted-_gnd',dheoreiri:ted easement deed be accepted and that City Clerk be instructed to record same with the County Auditor; Motion seconded by Pangle carried by rmll call vote of four.
