Mayor Raymond Hicks presiding. ROLL CALL: s Roll callednClerk, Councilmen present were Burns, Downey, Linderman, Pang]e and Westby. Absent were Partch & McDonnell. BILLS AND COM11UNICATIONS: BILLS 1-1 presented by Ed Dickinson in the amount of 440.00 to cover rental on blacksmith equiptment for a period of two years was rejected by the claims Committee and turned over to the Street Committee for intestigation; File handed to W. E. Burns. Churchman's Investment Company's bill for ;'25.00 covering a x,5000.00 bond in favor of ';Jinnifred J. Goodman Deputy Treasurer previously rejected by Claims Committee was reduced to a p2000.00 coverage earring a premium of $p10.00 this was 0. K'd for payment motion made by Downey and seconded by Pangle,carried. The Pasco Hardware bill in the amount of +1`?'72.67 covering sporting goods for Sylvester Park, was rejected by the claims Committee; 'lotion made by Downey and sedonded by Pangle that bill be returned to The Pasco Hardware Company for purchasing order. Williams Western Right of "'Jay Agent for the 11orthern Pacific Rail Road of Seattle, was read, asking for the return of lease JJ57130 covering the use of one building south of Northern Pacific Freight Depot, this was used for storing cement, but no longer needed, Clerk to return the lease. A letter from the Home Oil Company Seattle, asking for an opportunit to bid on rD1d oiling;was read and ordered filed. The carbon copy of a letter to Mrs. C. B. Krudwig County Treasurer was read, contents relating to disposition of Hones collected from liquor vio- lation fines, where in Mr. C. 11. O'Brien quots from Paragraph two section seven th of chapter sixth two, laws of 1933 Extraordinary, reads as follows" All Stat County and I,Iunicipal peace officers are hereby charged with the duty of investi gating and prosecuting all violations of this act, and all fines imposed for violations of this act shall belong to the County, City or Town wherein the Court imposing the fine is located." REPORTS FROM CO1.11IITTEES: Water Committee and Mr. McGhee granted more time to act on necessary arrangements to be made relative to Northern Pacific Chlornator, now in posses ion of the City, to be used for emergency equipment to comply with 21r. M. S. Campbell's letter April 29th to D. W. McGhee. REPORTS FROM OFFICERS: The City Treasurer's Reports for April and Ilay were reviewed and discussed. Yater Departments Report for April was read showing a gain of $615.6 The May Report showed a gain of $1,618.79. City Clerks budget reports for April and May were passed around and discussed. Motion made by Downey and seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. 444 have its first reading. Notion made by Downey and seconded by Burns that Ordihance Id0.4 has had its first reading, carried . An Ordinance relating to Intoxicating Liquor, Providing for the control and re gulation thereof, Defining Crimes and providing Penalties therefor, and declar. an emergency. RESOLUTION Me-reas it is the desire of the City of Pasco, that the director of highways paint the traffic line along the route of PBH ;#3 and PSH #11 within the corpora limits of the City of Pasco. RESOLUTION adopted as read motion made by Downey and seconded by isurns, carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Fire shells were again discussed, with reference to the debris at- Sixth & los and the Merder corner east of the tracks on Lewis. C. IS.
