RELATIVE TO MOVING OLD REGISTERATION BOOKS TO THE COURT HOUSE: Miss Hill of t e Well Fare Dept., inquired of the Council t rought the City Cl if the old registeration books could be moved temporarily to the Court House; This re- quest was denied. CANCELLATION OF GENERAL CASUALTY CO. BOND: A letter rom he General Casualty Company relative to canceling bond, was give to C. M. O'Brien for reply. PETITIONS & REMONSTRANCES: D. W� Zent informed the Council that a few vacent lots were being used for dump ing grounds; And that sheep were pastured on the East side within the City Limits; He also brought to their attention the hazardous condition created in our immediate busine center, by double parking, Mayor Hicks will instruct the Police Dept to check on this practice between Third abd Fourth on Lewis and between Columbia and Clark on Fourth. REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES: BLANKET INSURANCE INVESTIGATION. Building Committee not ready o renort on Blanket coverage insurance policy,ldr Haustad is making appraisals, more time was granted. CEMETERY COMMITTEE GRANTED MORE TIME: Account Mr. Westby's illness. PARK COMMITTEE WAITING FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT in park work before completing investigation. REPORTS FROM OFFICERS: C. M. O'Brien reports that he has been informed by Attorney Powell of Kennewick that the fire shell on Sixth & Shoshone will be taken care of and the lot cleaned up. STATE HIGHWAYS' 1939 OFFICIAL ESTIMATE: Mayor ti c s reviewed wi h the Council 1939's Official Eatimate of the Director of Highway's gasoline tax revenue, Estimated Revenue from April to December 1939, is $1, 779.00 for Maintenance and $4,149.67 for construction. Paul Savage to work full time painting sign and other Highway work. THIRD READING OF ORDINANCE FOR PASSAGE: DINANCA NUMBER 442 to have its third and final reading, motion made by Downey and seconcied by Pangle carried. Motion that Ordinance number 442 be finally and definitely adopted was made by Pangle seconded by Burns carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: FIREMEN'S QUARTERS: ,to About is the estimate given on repairs Firemen's room; Mayor and Counc to investigate and discuss this program after present meeting. WIDENING YAKIMA BETPJEEN 3RD,& 5TH. Widening Yakima Street a ween 3rd and 5th. was discussed, Street Committee to contact property owners before getting this work under way. Mr. Goodell wants the curb put in adjoining his property on the East, soon as possible; The approximate cost of curbing is quoted by Mr Me Keever to be .21 cents per running foot curb 19xl4x5. Mr CM. O'Brien to draw up n resolution for allowable hours in connection with work in City Clerks Office. C. M. O'BRIEN to make necessary arrangements relative to the purchase of the B Kling property on Second and Columbia. C. M. O'Brien to prepair a list of recallable bonds; Mayor Hicks in favor of r $3000.00 Underpass Bonds July 1st 1939.
