CALL; Councilmen present were Burns, Downey, Linderman,Pangle.aAd Wes;tby. Absent were McDonnell and Pardhy NG OF THE MINUTES; Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read. S AND COMMUNICATIONS; SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT #43,7% BONDS: A letter from the Pennsylvania Company, P ilddelphiarelative to a trust account $2,000.00par value of Special Improvement District #43, 7,� Bonds due March 10th 1924 and asking for payment on interest or principal. City Treasurer advises there are no monies in this fund. City Clerk to so advise. FROM COMMITTEES: Cemetery Committee not ready to report on investigation of Ordinance #439 and ask for a little more time, which was granted. DONATION OF 11UNICIPAL FUNDS; City Attorney reports, on Mrs Chute's letter as ahairmanof the Daughters of the pioneers of Washington Joublee; That according to law a municipality can not donate funds to such bodies as, Chamber of Commerce, Contention Bureaus etc. Mayor Hicks to so advise Mrs Chute. ORT FROM OFFICERS; Monthly Budget report prepalred by City Clerk for Councilmen was delivered. MONTHLY WATER DEPARTMENT REPORT. Tle earnings o the Wa er DDepT from the middle of January to the Middle of Feb_ ruary amounted to $2975.54 The cost of operation for the Month of February amounted to $1317.30; Adding to this amount $1570.00 for the payment of interest and tetirement of bonds shows that the Water Dept operated at a gain of $98.24 for the month. CITY TREASURER'S REPORT CI y Treasurers monthly report was presented and reviewed by the council. INISHED BUSINESS: PUMPING PLANT EQUIPMENT: Owing to the fact that the filtration grant is likely to be granted in the near future, the Council group would rather not invest in equipment at this time; Water Man ger D. W. McGhee, does not think emergency purchase necessary, to handle present situation Linderman made a motion to lay pumping equipment question on the table motion seconded by Burns and carried. REMODELING STANDARD OIL SERVICE STATIOy; Building Inspector A. Haylett appeared before the City Council for their re- commendations relative to the moving of the present Standard Oil"Economy " Service Station building at Fourth and Lewis to a different location on the same lot, after lengthily discussion of the Council it was decided that the Standard Oil Company coulc move the building providing they complied with the Uniform Building Code, by building fire proof walls at each end, no open space be left between the Pasco Clothing Buildii and Service Station building; also the t all wiring be placed in condute and rock le used for interior finish. The matter of sewer connections for the Standard Service Station was brought up and discussed no action taken. Traffic Light wires are attached to the Standard Oil Service Station Downey to investigate this condition. CEmetery Committee submitted figures and facts in connection with revising ordinance 439; They suggested omitting grave liner thus lowering the price some what definate changes not decided upon and more time was allowed. INSTRUCTION AND READING OF ORDINANCES & RESOLUTIONS. ORDINANCE 1 442 QRDINANftE REGULATION THE TRA14SPORTING AND DISPENSING PETROLEUM AND PETROLEUM PRODUCTS. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ARDAIN AS FOLLO'NS: SECTION ONE: It shall be unlawfull for any person to transport in any motor vehicle on any of the streets of Pasco, for the purpose of selling or dispensing the same, in quantities greater than one gallon, any gasoline, kerosene, petroleum, or any product thereof, unless on the said motor vehicle there shall be carried a fire extinguisher, which said extinguisher shall be of the type known as a C.0.2 of not les than fifteen pounds capacity. SECTION TWO: No truck or motor vehicle engaged in the transporting or sellir or didpensing any of the products named in Section One hereof shall at any time double park on any of the streets of Pasco, nor shall any such truck or motor vehicle, while transporting any such products be driven on any of the streets at a greater rate mf'�, speed than fifteen miles per hour. When any such motor vehicle or truck shall be parka on any of the streets of Pasco between the hours of sundown and sunup, all marke3i and parking lights must be kept lighted. It shall further be unlawful to park or stop any such trucks or motor vehicles, while loaded with any such products, over or across any sidewalk in said city. SECTION THREE: Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinanc shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction there of may be fined in any sum not greater than $300.00 Three Hundred dollars, or may be imprisoned for any period not greater than nineth(90) days. SECTION FOUR: This ordinance shall take effect five(%) days after its pas, sage and publication. NISHED BUSINESS: WATER TANK STRUCTURE BEING BLUMB Steels Construction,, Company's bill for $8,136.51 for raising 2001000 gallon water tank to a height of 35' 4" was read and discussed, figures obtained from County Engineer Harold Blanton by McDonnell would show fractional differentials in plumb measurements of steel structure. Motion made by Downey that Bill be with held and Barr and Cunningham be notified through City Attorney C. M. O'Brien. Also that WALter Manager McGhee and Water Committee get together and inspect this structure again. motion seconded by Pangle. Carried. SANDSTEDT WANTS LARGER HOUSE AT RIVER VIEW PARK Mr. b -eTt appeared before ve a Council o apresent plan for the the building 20 x 20 at River View Park, changed, he would like to add two rooms and bath, at an additional cost of from 4500 to $600 dollars for lumber and hardware material,The new plans were presented for council perusal. this dwelling to be oc- cupied by a care taker.
