Honorable Mayor Pro Tem. W. E. Burns called apee4el meeting to order at 7;30p
ROLL CALL: Palk
Rol'Aby Clerk, present Burns, Downs$, Linderman, Pangle and Westby; absent
McDonnell and Partch; Mayor Hicks arrived about nine thirty taking charge of
meeting; Councilman McDonnell came about nine oclock leaving at nine thirty
account being called for work.
REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES:
Relative to new equipment for the City Pumping Station, four letters were real
from Mr. McGhee's files, stating prices sizes and qualifications df various
makes of pumps and motors. The majority expressed themselves as being in favo]
of purchading one new pump and motor immediately, then rectnditioning the old
ones soon as possible; Thths have stand by equipment in case of an immergency
and for use during the heavy watering season. Water Committee with water Man.

termine size and type needed for adequate supply. Motion made by Downey that
after suitable equipment has been decided upon the afore said group or Commit'
will draft invitations for bids. Motion seconded by Pangle and carried without
dissent on roll call. Mr John Cunningham of the Barr Cunningham Consulting
Engineers of Portland Oregon will be in the City Monday February 13th and can
be interviewed or consulted if desired.

_ Mr. Simpson expressed to Mr Downey that he thought the viberation from the ga
engines working in connection with raising the water tank would do damage to
his house.
Date delayed on heating plant of City Hall, remodeling estimate, account ills
of Fred Soott who was summing up repairs and costs. An oil storage tank of
4000 gallon capacity will cost approximately 4369.00 delivered. Radiator ar-
rangement figures to be presented at next meeting.
The room in the Ctty Hall opposite the City Treasurer's office to be equipted
for City Business and Mayor's office. Motion made by Westby that Building
Committee and Mayor procure figures on approximate costs of repairs, soon as
possible. seconded by Linderman and carried.

THE OWNER: PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLAN'ION OF THIS ORDINANCE, INCLUDING
THE IMPOUNDIidG OF BICYCLES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGANCY. WAS given its first
reading, motion made by Linderman and seconded by Pangle and carried. That
Ordinance No. 440 be declared to have had its first reading.
Motion made by Linderman and seconded by Pangle and carried that Ordinance No.
440 be given its second reading by title only. Motion made by Pangle and se.
conded by Downey that Ordinance No 440 be deelaked to have had its second read
and carried

Was given its first reading motion made by Linderman and seconded by Pangle ar
carried that Ordinance No. 441 be declared to have gad its first reading.
Motion made by Linderman and seconded by Pangle and carried that Ordinance No.
441 be given its second reading by title only,Ordinance was read by title.
Motion made by Pangle and seconded by Downe$ that the Ordinance be declared tc
have had its second reading. carried.
Motion made by Westry and seconded by Linderman that meeting adjourn until
next meeting night February 16 at eight oclock.

Honorable Mayor Raymond Hicks called meeting to order at eight oclock P.M.

Roll Call by clerk, Councilmen present were Burns, Downey, Mcconnell, Pangle & Westby
absent were Linderman and Partch.

UNICATION & BILLS:
Aletter from Scoutmaster W. J. Hamilton relative to Scout week was read; Scouts had
previously been given permition to affiliate with City Officials during that week.
A letter was read from Grant Stringham Committee Chairman of the Active Club, asking
for cooperation of the City in completing a Street sign erreetton project; City
Attorney Karl Grimm acting on the same committee was to advise Mr. Stringham, that
the Street Dept. could errect the signs. In case the City was expected to help sponso
they would ohly be interested in metal signs and poste.
RTS FROM COMMITTEES:
Remodeling of the heating system at the City Hall was discussed, City Attorney to
apprehend the Stat law relative to using oil for fuel in City Owned buildings;
Committee to continue with progress.
Committee investigating ordinance number 439 prices of cemetery lots decided to make
no changes at the present time.
Unanimously agreeded to have reading of Ordinances after routine of business.
RElative to used trucks for the street department, Mr Briekey has located one used
truck with a dump body, price sixty dollars $60,00. Motion made by Pangle and seconded
by McDonnell that Street Committee and Purchasing Agent buy this truck motion carried
unanimously, by roll call.

Pangle; Motion made by Pangle and seconded by McDonnell that ordinance number 441
be declared finally adopted, carried by roll call vote of five.
Unanimously agreed to revert to unfinished business; Overhauling present pump,
buying a new one, or renting one with 6ption to buy was discussed, Automatic equit_
ment favored by Pangle and Downey. John Cunningham advised the purchase of a small
unite to run more hours per annum, working about five month of the year.
Another main is needed badly estimate about 3600 feet costing approxmately two
dollars per foot, Leading from the pumping station. Tieing inon water main at
Shoshonw and Tacoma to new tank, and replacing wooden main to Cemetery was consider
a necessity.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion made by McDonnell and seconded by Downey and carried that the meeting
adjourn.
