i;OLL CALL: The city council met in regular session with Idayor Hicks presiding Fd
following councilmen present on roll call: Burns, Christensen, Haylett and 'girth; absent
were Leroux, O'Herin and Partch.
Minutes of meetings held December 1st and 9th were read and approved.
CLAIMS: Bill of P. P. & L. Co., for electric current for pump, amount ;j321.53 was
brought up and motion made by Christensen, seconded by Haylett and carried on roll call,
that bill be paid. 'WARRANT No. issued
Regular order of business was snsnended upon :lotion made by Haylett, seconded by ;;i:
and carried and council proceeded to consider bids on raising the old ?.00,000 gal. water
Lank to conform to the height of the new tank. FOLLOWING BIDS WERE RECEIVED:

Motion made by Haylett, seconded by ,firth and carried without dissent on roll call
that the Steel Construction Co. MfxA19tt1w be awarded the bid for the price of ;77391.00
Motion then made by Haylett, seconded by Christensen and carried, that the checks of the
three lowest bidders, Steel Construction Co., Steel Tank & Pine Co. and Seattle Boiler
.forks be retained until such time as the lowest bidders properly nualified and that all o
checks be returned to the unsuccessful bidders.
Council resumed the regular order of business.
Letter read from city treasurer elect Mary _lee asking that a state auditor be bror=
in to check the treasurer's office before she assumes the duties of the office. Iso ti on
made by ";firth, seconded by Haylett, that the city clerk write and try to get a state audit
to come to Pasco before the new treasurer assumes office; motion carried.
FRA14EIIII COUNTY GRAVES IN CEMETEiY: communication from the County Commissioners
Franklin County a;reed that ;the county world pny i?7.00 per grave for any county graves

License for Dr. Geo. Orley for a dance the morning of Dec. 26th was discussed
and clerk was informally in�,trictel that it world be proper to issue a. license for the
date mentioned, leaving out the Al portion.
Clerl, renortei licenses issne(l amounting to x52.00 since the previous meeting,
making total to date ,17936.00.
Water :tanager reported a loss of .;,719.49 in operation of the water system the
previous month.

against the vacation of the southernmost alley in ,clock 24 River side Addition, Ordinance
No. 439 covering such vacation was read. Motion made by ',J!.rth, seconded by Haylett and
carried, that the ordinance be declared to have had its first reading.

Lotion made by Christensen, seconded by Haylett and carried, that the ordinance be
declared to have had its third reading. Motion e.de by Hayle&t, seconded by Burns and
carried without dissent on roll call, that Ordinance No. 439 be declp.red adonted.
Letter from Geo. 3. l'Jells regarding 1. I. D. bonds held in L. I. D. No. 34, which
had been referred to the Finance Committee vias returned by the committee, Haylett advising
that the committee was returning the letter without any recommenlation.
Consideration of bids for the water tank signal line was passed over.
ADJOURNI4BNT: Prior to adjourning, it was the understanding that if Mr. Cunningham
furnished infDrma.tion regarding bidders on the water tank, which the council desired by
Tuesday (20th) the council would adjourn until the 20th; if information was not available
that date, the meeting would be again adjourned until Thursday, Dec. 22nd. Motion to this
effect was made by ,firth, seconded by Haylett and carried.

ehalf of the Steel Tank & Pipe Co. of Portland and asked that his concern be riven Brie
