HORRIGAN & HORRING- 1ROTE THE Council asking that city accept a settlement of •;100.0('
to clear up assessments on property owned by Mr. and Ilrs. Manley, Lots 19, 31 and 32 in
Block 23, Gerry's Addn. and Lot 9, Block 1, Pettit?s Addn. This was due to constrnction
of sidewalk on Columbia. St. Motion made by O'Herin, seconded by Christensen and carried
that the communication be filed and Horrigan & Horrigan be notified.
Communication read from iiev. Fred Schilling thanking council for having a 200 watt
Is= installed at 9th & Lewis Sts.
Communication received from Norman Hill, asking, for permission to operate a vehicle
safety inspection station on Columbia St. between 2nd end 3rd, beginning about Dec. 1st
and motion was made by O'Herin, seconded by Christensen and carried, that the request be
granted.
Communication from E. R. Hoffman of the P. 7d. A. advised the city that the filtratio
plant file was in .,ashinaton for consideration.
Communication from the ,Dash. Construction league urged that cities Fncngxs follow
up nrorosed PWA projects and was ordered filed.
STEEL TANK & PIPE CO.final payment for new water x7lss tank; City Attorney's lette
to them dated Oct. 29th advised them that they were not entitled to payment for sales
taxes amounting to •535.20 paid out by them And he also advised them of the action of the
city council in penalising then for 39 days delay in completing the tank -,44i4�

hat the matter was settled; the tax commission had been contacted and the city should

L. I. D. WARRANTS O'Wi4ED BY HAhrly DE IvIUTH: .J. R. Cox was present and asked
t action had been taken by the city in regard to paying old L. I. D. 'Warrants owned
14r. DeMuth and was advised that no report had been made by the Finance Committee.
ORDINANCE No. 435 (Zoning) action postponed until meeting of i4ov. 17th.
A W. P. A. project for improving streets was held up at request of Wirth, as
wanted to see how it tied up with other projects.
BIDS 014 SIGNAL FOR -4E-1V 'ATER TANK were opened, only )ne bid for constructing
e signal line being received; this bid was from the Empire Electric Co., who proposed
build extension of present signal circuit from a point between Lewis and Clark Sts.

BIDS FOR FURi4ISHING INSTRUMS14TS were held up until the next meeting.
Clerk reported total licenses on previous report at jr7194.60, pin ball machines
16.00 and other licenses •;122.00, making total licenses to date u7532.50.
