Regular Ssssion _ November 5th, 1936
ROLL CALL: City council met in regular session with Mayor McGee presiding rnd fell.
councilmen present: Burns, Haylett, O'Herin, Shaffer and Wirth; absent Partch.
MINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION on October 15th were read and apnroved.
Communieationfrom U. S. Dept. of Agriculture about elm trees and their disease
was read and referred to Park Board.
Swimming beach road: after discussion, motion was made by Burns, seconded by
Wirth and carried, that the city accept the proposition of Sather & Sons to gravel and
oil street to the swimming beach in exchange for water which the contractor will use.
Treas,irer's report was passed around.
The raising of sidewalk in front of Skaggs' store was discussed, the manager Hall
wanting to taper off walk at doorway to width of door for the first block of sidewalk, r1e
the matter of curb being cut at 4th and Clark, being the approach to the former garage;

is was referred tb the Street Committee. Matter of securing contracts from parties
siring to cut curbs in future, so that they will restore curbs to oripinal condition
en desired by the city, was also disciissed but no action taken.
