ROLL CAPL: City council met in regular session with ;Iayor Pro Tem O'Herin presiding and

CONLEN BROS. BILL: /Wtxtk stated that Wirth and he had seen LIr. Conlan and inf,rm
him that the council might consider paying one hall of the bill, but that Conlen would not
agree to accent such a nronosition. Bilin laid over until next meeting.
Renort of ,liter :_onager for last month showed net profit of J499.93; renort of
•police matron covering dances was also read; both renorts were ordered filed.
LOADIi4G Z014ES: No action was taken in the matter of requests of U. P. Marolf an
Dr. Backman for loading zones, the matter being permitted to go over to next meeting.
DOG LICENSES: hatter of securing dog tags and license blanks was referred to
the Police Committee.
EMERGE11CY '4JORK Ili CLERK'S OFFICE: After discussion, motion was made by Shaffer,
seconded by Haylett and carried on roll call, that the sum of .90.00 be transferred from
Liiscellaneous item in budget, to be used as clerk's expense for two months, to pay for
emergency work in clerk's office for the two month period beginning August 6th.
Shaffer brought up matter of proposed work in Sylvester Park by the "r-iwanis Club
the city; no action taken and it will be brought u" later.
Swimming Beech Committee was not yet ready to report retarding nroposed use if
xgravel in imnrovinp the beach by Contractor Sather.
The matter of time limit parking signs was left in the hands of the Street Commi
CHLOEIIIATOH FOR ,VATEE DcPT.: Haylet recommended that :intor Superintendent be
instructed to negotiate for the purchase of a new chlorinator by the city. They had a pr
of '1540. from :,rillace_Tiernan Co., with an allowance of y150. for the old chlorinator, i
accentable to the city. Motion made by Burns, seconded by Shaffer and cr!rried on roll

Gee then appointed Gertnude Sneier us City Clerk, effective ass d2 Sent. 9th and his
nointmant was confirmed upon motion made by Shaffar, seconded by B„ylett and carried.
