SPECIAL SESSION JULY 30th, ; i - ROLL CALL: Persuant to call of the Mayor Pro Tem, Council met in Special Session ROLL C:.LL: Meeting celled to order by Mayor Pro Tem O'Herin with following coon_ !, with Mayor Pro Tem O'Herin and Councilmen Burns, Haylett, Partch, Shaffer lmen present: Burns, Haylett, O'Herin, Partch, Shaffer and Wirth. and Wirth present. k PURPOSE: The purpose of the meeting was to consider and tae action for making APPOINTMENT OF ACTING CITY CLERK: Mayor Pro Tem advised that council that the city erk, Jo Sanderson, had been taken to the ho9nital that morning and was unable to attend final payment of property damage claims and court costs in connection the duties of that office; Citjr Attorney O'Brien stated that while the strtlAs were with the Grade Separation Project, t clear, the proper method of nroceedure was for the council to elect an acting city clerk. COUNCIL ACTION: A shortage of $100.00 due the defendants represented by D. W. Zent was tion madd by Haylett, sefonded by Burns, that Mars. Gertrude Speier be slatted as acting clerk, during the incapacity of the present city clerk and subject to the will of the reported. A motion was made by Shaffer and seconded by Wirth that the un unci l; motion carried unanimously.
