Motion made by Partch and seconded by 'firth that the Water manager be authorized
to sign the contract. Motion carried.
REPORTS: The rpport of the Police Jpdpe, A.M. Johnson was read.
The report of the water department was read.

was read. Motion made by O'Herin and seconded by Haylett that the Ordinance be d
declared to have had it's first reading. Motion carried on rill call.
Motion by Haylett that the ordinonee be given it's second reading by

IAtion by O'Herin and seconded by Havlett that the ordinance be ameliddd
by striking out, "Other than necessary wood or coal sheds." fiction carried.
Motion by Havlett and seconded by Wirth that the ordinance be declared
to have had it's third reading as amended. Motion carried, on roll call.
Motion by O'Herin and seconded by Wirttk that Ordinance 1419 be adopted.
Motion carried on roll call.
NEW BUSINESS:
WPA Manager, Joe Werner, brought up the subject of catch basins on Fourth Street
near the hospital and at Fiftk & Lewis Streets. After discussion the Mnvor
instructed Werner to take charge of the installation of the drains.
Unon discussion of the installation of the booster puma in the cemetery,
Mover McGee instructed r',star HanaRer G. H. McGhee to take charge of installing
the said pump.
Attorney O'Brien reported that the date of the Moline case hearing had
been set back to April 6th, 1936.
Mayor McGee appointed Floyd Brown to succeed himself on the library board.
A letter from Norman Hill to the Veterans of Foreign 'Wars was read, asking
nermission to place signs to the entrances of the City. Motion by 4irtk and
seconded by O'Herin that this permission be granted. 11otinn carried.
