HDINANCF, 140. 414, AN ORDIIJANCE providing for the borrowing of 111,000.00 for the City of Pe -co, 4ashington for the purpose of purchasing fire fighting equiptment and for the purpose of improving the streets and alleys of said city, by grading and graveling and otherwise surfacing the same in connection with the federal }Works programs Administra- tion and thereby providing employment for the unemployed oftizens of said city; and providing for the issuance of negotiable bonis of said city for the sum of eleven thousand dollars fixing a maximum rate of interest for said bonds, directing the giving of notice of the proposed issuance thereof and fo,• calling for bids thereon, was read, and motion made by Partch, seconded by Haylett that the Ordinance be declared to have had it's first reading. lrlotion carried on roll call. Motion made by Parteh, seconded by O'Herin that Ordinance 414 be given it's second reading by title only. !.Iotion carried and title duly read. Buckley would repair the jail bunks as needed for the sum of _Ao.00. The matter ;vas referred to the Police Committee with power to act. Nord having been received that the Community Ball Project has been approved, Attorney O'Brien stated that he has written to the Attorney General for an opinion as to whether or not the City has the right to issue bonds for the building of such building. CEMETERY FUEDS TRANSFE7iRED: Upon report aEowing ,'1179.07 in �he Cemetery funl, Nirth moved that this amoiLnt be transferredto the current expense fund. motion seconded by Partch and carried. HARRY SANDSTED, IR.^ B 3 OF TH3 PARK BOARD, allressed Council asking for the purchase of pipes farthae in the iverview Park,_ the Pasco Machine Co. having some second hand pipe on hand at the present time which can be had at a saving. O'Herin moved that the pipe be purchased, and the balance of payment be cared for in the 1937 budget. Llotion carried. ADJOURNMENT: notion to adjourn was made by O'Herin and seconded by Partch.
