ROLL CALL: Council met in regular session with Mayor McGee presiding
and Councilmen
Burns, Haylett, O'Herin, ,lirth, and Partch present.
MINUTES: The minttes of the regular session of September 19th were
read and approved.

signal at th intersection of 4th and Lewis was read and referred to
the Light CommdltteE
upon motion made by O'Herin and seconded by Burns and carried. To be
reported on at the
next regular meeting.
COI,ZIUNICATIONS: A commt'unication Iron the County Treasurer was read,
giving the assesed
valuation of City of Pasco property as ,` 1,459,650.00 for the year 1935.
PETITIONS: Applications for licenses from Sanford 3esselman for operation
of a restauran
and Mrs M. Hodge for operation of a restaurant were read. I.Iotion made
by Partch and
seconded by O'Herin that the ltcenses be granted. I-otion ca.ried.
,SPORTS : The committee appointed to investigate the.fire department
situation reported
on their trip to Seattle, Olympia, and other points, which resulted in
the State Fire
Marshall and the _tanager of th .atinp Bureau coming to Pasco and meeting
with a committ
of Councilmen on .,ednesday, October 2. The most important changes reouired
to place
Pasco in the 6th class were giutn as follows; prurchase of a pnmper of
not less than
750 gallons per minute capacity, 2000 feet more hose, installation of
two more hydrants,
and maintaining of six sleepers in th�i;ity all.
Mayor McGee commended the committee on the success of their
efforts.

ani September were read and ordered filed.
The monthly reports of the City Treasurer and Clerk were presented.
BUSINESS: O'Herin reported that the ,;.P.A set-up for street work had been returned with
the request that 9000 yard:, of gravel be cut from th project, and it
was agreed to
make up a new set-up for this ccr k.
Referring to Fire department Nor k, "star-'anager McGhee was
instructed to
install two hydrants, one at the alley on 3rd -Ave and Lewis Street and the other at
2nd Ave. between Clark and Iewis Streets.
Changes in th pronosed traffic ordinance were discussed.

-;OLL CALL: Council met in adjourned session with Mayor McGee presiding and Councilmdn
Burns, O'Herin, Wirth and Partch present.
BUDGET: Various changes were made in the Budget for 1936. The tax valuation of
$1,459,650.00 for the year 1936 was shown to yield at 15 mills y21,994.75 for the
Current Expense fund, and at 5 mills, $7,299.00 for bonds and interest, making a
total of '29,192.75 for a 20 mills levy. Various cuts were made to conform with
this amount.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion was made by '7irth, seconded by O'Herin that the meeting adjourn.
Motion carried. Council adjourned and their attention was called to the fact that
a special meeting would be called for Monday, October 7, as required by law, for
the final adoption of the Budget.

ROLL CALL:In accordance with ihhe statutes Council met in special session for the purpose
of adopting the budget for 1936, with Ida.yor Ido Gee presiding and Councilmen Burns,
Haylett, O'Herin, girth, and Partch answering to roll call.
CALL FOR METING: The call for the meeting was read as follows: A special meeting of
the City Council is hereby called for Llonday, October 7,1935, at 9 o'clock P.AI.
for the purpose of adopting the budget for the year 1936, and for the purpose of
oaring for any other business that may properly come before such meeting.
THE ONLY CHANGES MADE IN THE BUDGET was in the Street Department, transferring ""72.90
from repairs for the tractor to the salary of the man in charge, and a motion made
by Partch, seconded by ;Mirth to leave the Meter readers Salary the some as last
year. '.otion carried.
ORDINANCE 411, ASI ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BU_GET FOR THE Y&AR 1936, was r-�ad, and motion
made by O'Herin, seconded by Partch that the ordinance be declared to have had
it's first reading. Motion carried on roll call.
Motion made by O'Herin, seconded by Partch, that the ordinance be given it's
second reading by title only. Motion carried and ordinance Baa_ then read by title.
Motion by Partch, seconded by Haylett, and carried on roll call, that the ordinance
be declared to have had it's second reading.
Motion was then made by Partch, seconled by O'Herin that the regular order of busii:2
ness besuspended and the orlinance be given it's third reading. Motion carried,
and the ordinance given the third reading.
Motion was then made by O'Herin and seconded by Haylett that Ordinance No 411
be declared to have had it's third reading and adopted as read. notion carried on
roll call.
CITY LIGHT BONDS: 7irth made a motion, seconded by Partch, that the City Treasurer be
instructed to call in ?3000.00 in City Light Bonds. Motion carried unanimously on
roll call.
THE FO1LO,7ING RESOLUTION 17AS READ: BE IT iiESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Pasco, that the City.Council does hereby agree to reimburse the State Highway
Department to the amount of ."550.00 for making surveys in connection with the
proposed underground crossing on Levis Street, in Pasco, ;iashington, under the
railway tracks of the Northern Pacific Railway Company.

W.P.A. PROJECTS PROPOSALS for the street graveling project, as corrected, and for the
Riverviaw Park project were read, and discussed. Potion made by Partch, seconded
by O'Herin that they be approved as read. Motion carried.

THE PROPOSED TRAFFIC ORDINANCE, as amended was given it's third reading upon motion
made by Haylett, seconded by 4irth, and carried.
Alotion made by Haylett, ant seconded by girth, that the ordinance be declared to h:- v-2
have had it's third reading and passedm Motion carried unanimously on roll call.
NEW BUSINESS: Fire Chief Pangle read the specifications for a new fire truckas he
had prepared them, ant O'Herin moved that the City Clerk he instructerl to adver-
tise for bids for the fire truck, using the specifications as prepared by Chief
Pangle. Motion seconded by Haylett and carried.

meeting at Coulee Dam, on October 9th, planned by the Chamber of Commerce.
Motion carried.

ICENSE APPLICATIONS were read from the Junior .amusement Co., by H. 1I. Hight, for the
Bungalow Dence Hall, an.l from the Inland Theatres, Inc., by C. LI. Wight, for the
Liberty Theatre. Motion made by O'Herin, and seconded by Partch that the licenses be gr
granted. Motion carried.
The application read from Albert Sanchez, for operating a dray, was held for
investigation.
IE FOLIOWING RESOLUTION was read: BE IT RE-SGLVF.D by the City Council of the City of
Pasco, that the City Council does hereby agree to reimburse the State Highway Department /J7
at the rate of Twenty-five Dollars (.'$25.00) per mile for street marking.
Passed and approved this 19th day of October, 1935.

Street Committee be given power to act in placing the time limit and parking signs
needed under the new Traffic Ordinance. Llotioncearried.
