yearly dues for the year ending July, 1936, $20.00. Motion made by O'Herin,
seconded by Wirth that this be allowed. Motion carried on roll call. ifarrent no.

District meeting at Yakima. August 3, was read.
The letter from Er. Joe Sheley, asking that the City care for the expense
of watering the trees in�'front of his apartment house was reffered to the ',Water Cor.
mittee to report on at the next meeting.
ALIERICAI4 LEGION ON W. P. A. PROJECT Mr. C. A. Booth and Mr. Victor Smull, a committee
from the American Legion, addressed Council, suggesting the building of a
Community House as a City work project, the Legion being willing to deed their lot,
at the corner of Columbia Street and 4th Ave. to the City, and furnish available
cash, if the City agrees to complete the construction.
Mayor McGee instructed the Projects Committee to meet with the American
Legion Committee to create a definite setup for action by the Council.
m":AFFIC :ONDITIORS DISCUSS D: O'Herin brought up the question of trucks parking on the
main business streets. After soma discussion, a motion was made by O'Herin,
seconded b,; Wirt4 to referr tha matter of a new traffic ordinance to the Police
Committee. Motion carried,
Following a suggestion by O'Herin, the Mayor instructed the clerk to
write to the Association of ;;ashington to get traffic ordinances of six Washington
cities of about the same population as Pasco.
LIC3I48E: The application of Olive Johnson for rooming house license was held for
investigation by the License Committee.
ADJOURNMENT: O'Herin moved that the melting adjourn. Motionseeonded by Partch.

SPECIAL SESSION AUGUST, 5, 1935
ROLL CALL: Pursuant to a call put out by the Mayor, Council met in special session
with Magor McGee presiding and Coimcilmen Burns, Haylett, O'Herin, end Partch
present.
UNDERGROUND CROSSING: The meeting was called for the purpose of passing upon a resolution
guaranteed to indemnify the State of Washin@ton and the Government of the United
States against any'claims for property damage occasioned by the construction of
the proposed underground crossing at Lewis Street in Pasco, Washington, under the
tracks of the Northern Pacific Railway Company and for the purpose of caring for
any other biksinees that may properly come before such meeting.
ATTENDANCE: Some twenty or thirty[ business people of the City attended the meeting,
all expressing themselves as being in favor of such action.
UTION: The following resolution was rend.
BE ET RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, that the City C
Council does hereby agree to indemnify and save harmless, the State of Washington,
the State Highway Department thereof , and the government of the United States
against any and all claims for damages to property by reason of the construction
of the proposed underground crossing on Lewis Street in Pasco, Washington, under
the railway tracks of the Northern Pacific Railway Company, anri that the City will
at it's own expense further provi!ieany and all necessary rights of way, and pay for
any preliminary eAglhAnerfngagpsts on said project that it may be called upon to
pay and that the city will approve any and all necessary grade lines for for such
project. Passed and approved this -s day of August, 1935.
