Out of said Secondary Highway d'und so created, th re shall be paid all the cost f construction and maintenance of the Secondary Highway within the City of Pasco,and into aid fund shall be peid all the monies received by the City of Pasco, from the State of ashington as the City's proposed share of the gas tax money, uuider chapter 111, of the aws of 1935. The Special Street committee and City engineer Judd recommended that the City do the graveling of the streets to be „orked on, wr. Uity ul-ric 481 CITY COUNCIL CHAITBu:iS +11r' i SPECIAL SESSIO14 JUNE 14, 1935 I LOLL CALL: Pursuant to a call by the faayor the City Council met in special session for the purpose of discussing the set-up for the work on the Secondary iiighway System; with iiayob Mcgee presiding and all cn4ncilmen present. N hlIilUTES: The portion of the minutes of the preceeding meeting pretaining to the street work was read for the bentfit of the members who were not present at the last regular session. BUSINESS: Councilmen Anderson stated that he wa:, not in favor of the proposed specifi_ cations,as he .did not think the work wo,ild be of a nermanent nature, nor effective^ in overcoming road duct. City Engineer Judd explained that from past experience the method of oiling nrovided for in the nl',ns had given the best of satisfaction. At this time Anderson left the Council Chambers. After some discussion Partch moved that tha'Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids on two lots of gravel; one for 7,30 yards, and one for 1960 yards, subject to the State standards, to be truck spread upon designated streets. Bids to be in at an open special session of the council on June 22nd, at 9 o'clock P. M. Burns, Haylett, Partch, end Mirth. DATE SET TO ACCEPT BIDS: Friday, July L2th at 9 o'clock, was agreed upon as the date to open the bids. Wirth moved that the City Clerk be directed to insert a legal advertisement in the official local paper and in Pacific Builder and Engineer, calling for bids on bituduinous surfacing by the road mix method on various streets of the City of Padco, anproximately 3.5 miles in length, as p?r plans and specifications on file with the City Engineer. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Motion seconded by Haylett, and carrieft on roll call; all members present voting for the motion.
