Regular Session _ September 4th, 1934
ROLL CA_ 1:
CITY Council met in regular session with Mayor Por Tem Anderson presiding and
following councilmen being present: Anderson, Burns, Partch and Wirth, Haylett coming in
later; absentees were Mayor McGee, 6ouncilmen O'Herin and Skinnell.
CLAIMS AGAINST WATER FUND DERE READ and motion was made by Partch, seconded by
Wirth and carried on roll call, thpt the bills be allowed, these bills being as follows:

Water for the transient's kitty ball grounds was discussed and it was informally
decided that the city would furnish necessary water.
Nineth St. improvement discussed but no action taken in regard to advising the
representative that the city would contribute material needed.
At this point, Counci lm,:,n Skinnell came in.
MNSxM 1drs. Le Roux and I:Ir. Brown .,f the Library Board appeared before the coun-
cil and asked that the budget submitted by the 7 ibrery Board be left as it is without
being cut.
A Mr. Hackney ar)peared before the council in regard to selling them his
1933 Chevrolet for use of Police Dept.; after considerable discussion, motion was made
by Partch, seconded by Skinnell, that the council would ad.;ourn until T.onday night
(Sept. 10th) and that in the meantime th,:q have Vic Pangl, go over the car and make
report as to its condition at that meeting.
Ninth St. improvement aga.in brought. up, it being estimated that the city would
have to furnish about 350 yards of. Travel for it. Motion ma.de by Burns, seconded by
Partch and carried that the matter be laid o-er until the next meeting.
Resignation read from J. F. O'Herin as councilman and motion was glade by
Haylett, seconded by Idirth, that the letter be referred to 1.1ayor MRRHIK Pro Tem
Anderson and that he make a report on it at the next meeting.
BUDGET CONSIDERATION: The c ,uncil went over the tentative budget and added
X300.00 for lights in Volunteer Park, besides restoring salaries to original figures
before they were cut 10% some time ago. A motion was then made by Wirth, seconded
by Skinnell and carried, that the janitor at the library be given the position of
janitor at the city hall at a rate of ;10.00 per month; motion carried.

1"'dHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pasco, va.shincton, met in regular
session on Tuesday, tho 4th day of September, 1934, to consider the preliminary budget
for the City of Pasco for the year of 1935 and having; made such revisions amd: as deemed
advisable in said budget as submitted by the City Clerk of the said City of Pasco,
NOW THEREFORE, Br'. IS IRESOLV1,J), that the preliminary budget as considered be
and the same is ordered placed on file for the information of any taxpayer who may call
at the office of the City Clerk for information concerning; same, or for copies thereof,and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City of Pasco give due
notice that the said preliminary budget is on file and that the City Council will meet
on Monday, the 1st day of October, 1934, at the hour of 9 o'cl.och P.M., at the City Hall.
in the City of Pasco, for the purpose of fixing the final budget and making tax levies
in accordance therewith; that the City Clerk cause such notice to be published once
each week for two consecutive weeks immediately following the adoption of this
resolution.

meeting adjourn until 9 PM, Monday, Sept. 10th.

Adjourned Session _ September 10th, 11334
KOLL CALL: City council met in adjourned session .with I:•Iayor I.IcGee presiding and
all members of the council excepting Skinnell present.
Mr. Joe Werner of the Transient Shelter was present and asked that the city contribute
something towards the pa; of 1,1r. O'Hara, who took care of the transient worked. After
discission a• motion was m de by Wirth, seconded by O'Herin and carried, that the m tter
be referred to the Street Committee with power to act.
VARIOUS CHANGES WERE IIADE IN THE BUDGET for 1935 and it was brought to about
:1000.00 of the expected, total to be raised by tax levy.
Hydrant Rental in the proposed budget was set at ti 2.00 each per month, a motion
esra..blishing that figure being made by O'Herin, seconded by. Haylett and carried.
ADJOURNME1T : Liotion made by O'Herin, seconded by Burns, that the meeting
adjourn; motion carried.
