ROLL CALL: City council met in regular session with lvlayor IldcGee presiding
and following councilmen present: Burns, Haylett,.Partch and Wirth; absent were
Anderson, O'Herin and Skinnell.

COMMON LABOR FOR THE CITY WILL BE PAID FOR AT FIFTY CENTS PER HOUR IN FUTURE,
this being a motion made by Partch, seconded by Burns and carried without dissent.
Following licenses were granted upon motion made by Partch, seconded by Burns
and carried: Soft drinks, M. F. Juvenal xx&xx H. Yamuchi, G.T.Austin, C.E.Chute,
McGuire & Watson, Mrs.J.A.Brooks arld Tom Katayama; Restaurants, H. Yamuchi; Hotels
C. Yamuchi and -Ethel Godfrey; card rooms: G.T.Austin, C.E.Chute, T. Katayama and
W. H. Moberly; pool hall, G.T.Austin, C.E.Chute and Tom Katayama.
Resignation of Geo. Sanderson an a. member of the Park Board was read, but
Mayor McGee stated that he wanted to talk to Mir. Sanderson before definite action.

Communication read from Tax Commissioner of the Id. P. 2-y., stating that
in future the city would ha•Ve to pay the taxes on prop-Orty leased by the city under
Lease No. 19035.
Grant of Easement to the N. P. Ry. for crossing Tacoma. St. and city property
to connect proposed sewer line from ff=eight house, was r.ea and motion was - made by Partch
seconded by Haylett, that the easement be granted.
Light Committee reported that they did not think a light petitioned for at
4th and Shoshone was needed.
Street Committee, thru Burns, reported in regard to improvement of 10th
St. North of Lewis, that the street was no worse than other streets of the city and
that the only way condisitions could be improved would be to gravel the street, which,
of course, the city could not afford at present.
,,Vater Committee reported regarding irrigation of Parking strips on
Shoshone St. between 1st and 2nd, that no action be taken at this time.
Report of Water Manager, showing net gain of $687.50 for the previous month
was read; report of clerk in typed form was passed to each councilman; report of
treasurer was passed around.

Burns reported that the P. P. & L Co., would charge 0110.00 to run a
light line to the cemetery to light the sexton's house and wanted the council to
consider this.
Broken light pole broken by a truck a.t 4th and Lewis St. was discussed
and matter referred to I}!Ir. Burns to take up with Chief Buchman to try to collect
for 'damages.
Mayor IvIcGee announced he had appointed a dog catcher on the same basis -as
last year, the dog catcher to keep ha.lff of the amount he collected and turn balance
in to the city z: treasury.
ADJOURNMEDT: Motion made by Wirth, seconded by Haylett, that the meeting
adjourn; motion carried.
