Regular Session _ May 1st, 1934
ROLL CALL: The city council met in regular sess with following councilmen present:
Burns, Haylett, Partch and Wirth; absent Anderson, O'Herin and Skinnell. In the
absence of Mayor'McGee and Mayor Pro Tem Anderson, Art Partch was chosen to act as
mayor pro tem.
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 17th were read and approved.
CLAIMS AGAINST WATER FUND, AS FOLLOWS, WERE READ and motion was made by Wirth,
seconded by
Haylett, that the bills be allowed; carried on roll call without dissent:

Communication from the General Science Class of the High School, suggesting
cleaner water and cleaning up vacant lots, was referred to the Pity Attorney for reply
upon motion made by Burns, seconded by Wirth and carried.
Request of Frank Howe for refund of $10.00 made by him for license to peddle
vgetables vias held up until next meeting upon motion by Burns, seconded by Haylett and
carried.
WATER SUPT. WAS AUTHORIZED TO ATTEND meeting of N.W.Section of the American
Water Works Assn., May 10, 11 and 12, upon motion made by Wirth, seconded by Haylett
and carried, the city to pay his expenses.
Motion made by Wirth, seconded by Haylett, that the Fire Chief be authorized
to attend the fire school at Spokane May 14, 15 & 16th, at a cost to the city of not to
exceed $30.00; motion carried,on roll call.
Mayor McGee was authorized to attend the meeting.of the Association of Wash.
Cities at Seattle, May 3rd, 4th and 5th, upon motion made by Wirth, seconded by Hajrlett
and carried on roll call.
State Dept. of Public ,forks, requested the city to place an approach sign
300 ft. from the A St. crossing and this was turned over to the Street Supt. upon motion
made by Haylett, seconded by Wirth and carried.
Burns reported that the Union Oil Co. at 4th and Bonnevill Sts. wanted per-
mission to make a chane in the curb at their place of business and this was deferred '
until the next meeting.
CHANGES AT PUMPING PLANT DISCUSSED AND motion was made by Wirth, seconded by Burns
that the Water Committee and Water M anager be given full power to act; carried.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion made by Wirth, seconded by Ha ett and carried th t meeting adjourn.
