Regular Session _ March 6th, 1934.
ROLL CALL: City council met in regular session with Mayor P ro Tem Anderson
presiding and following councilmen present: Anderson, O'Herin, Partch and S kinnell;
ahsaent were Mayor McGee, Councilmen Burns, Haylett and Wirth.
MINUTES OF MEETINGS OF FEB. 20th and Feb. 23rd were read and approved.
LICENSES APPLICATIONS WERE READ FROM FOLLOWING AND granted upon motion made
by O'Herih,:seconded by Partch: Ivan Medred to peddle vegetables and fruit; John
Maretll for second hand store and W. D. Pence as direct dealer. Applications for
direct dealer licenses were submitted by Veva Loudon and Alice Baesen, but were
ordered held up by council until full license fee of $30.00 accompanied the application,
only $15.00 having been paid on each &pplication. Motion was made by O'Herin, seconded
by Skinnell, that the Chief of Police be instructed to make formal demand upon Loudon
and Baesen for the full license fee; motion carried.
CLAIMS AGAINST WATER FUND: Following claims were read against the Water Fund
and were ordered paid upon motion made by O'Herin, seconded by Partch
and carried on

H. W. Hull was present regarding the proposed golf course and stated that
the deed does not read the same as to description of land,.as does the resolution
and asked that the council change resolution to agree with the deed. As deed had
not been returned by county auditor, who is recording it, he was informed that
resolution would be changed later.
BIDS FOR SUPPLYING THE CITY WITH GASOLINE FOR THE ENSUING YEAR WERE RECEIVED
from the Standard Oil Co., Union Oil Co. and Shell Oil Co. All bids quoted "tank
truck prices" and motion was made by Partch, seconded by Skinnell, that all bids be
rejected; motion carried.
A representative 6f the Howard Cooper Corporation was present and stated
that Chief Pangle was to meet him before the council regarding fire hose required
by the city, quoting a price of $1.10 per ft. for"White King", the kind used by the
city. After discussion, O'Herin moved, seconded by Skinnell, that the Purchasing Agent
be instructed to purchase 300 ft. of "White King" hose, subject to approval of the
fire chief; motion carried without dissent on roll call.
WIDENING TENTH ST.: Matter of widening 10th St. was discussed and
motion was made.by Partch seconded by O'Herin, that the City Attorney be instructed
to get in touch with State Highway District Engineer Simpson in regard to widening
10th St. by eliminating the parking; notion carried.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion made by Partch, seconded by O'Herin that meeting adjourn;
carried.
